Better to be natural than getting prostate or breast cancer or Alzheimers from toxic commercial deodorants. Enjoy your chemotherapy all because you wanted to "smell good".

If I was back at ISU I would have chained myself naked to one of these trees and dare someone to come take care of my wood.
#craiglistAnd the next day in the Daily we see the following ad in the personals :
You - chained to a tree
Me - just walking by
Same time tonight?
P.S. Did you mean to be facing the tree?
Better than straight up the pooper...First Matt leaves and we lose all shot at Diallo, next we cut down 200 plus year old trees to make room for some dorms, and before you know it Fred is coaching Georges and Jameel in Chicago.
Straight. Down. The. Pooper.
What are everyone's theories for Cycopath's posting patterns? Seems like he posts a lot for a few days, then you don't see him here for a month or so. My guess is it is inversely proportional to employment status.
That's what I was thinking too but I'm no forester. I can't believe it lived this long. Bonfire the hackberry, make some shelves/furniture/tables out of the walnut and call it a day.
Reminds me of that reality show where the lady actually thought she was married to the Eiffel Tower and she went to have conjugal visits with it. Anyone see that?

Yes. This is me.Was that lady actually a man... and that man actually you... be honest...
Here's my thoughts... If something significant to ISU's history happened with one or both of these trees - such as George Washington Carver coming up with some brilliant peanut research/revelation while studying under them - then yeah, I might understand the desire to keep them.
But these are just two random, old trees in the way of much needed expansion space. Paint a mural of them in the new dorm or something... They aren't worth this much fuss.
