I agree with you and it is Fox's fault. However, ESPN3 is much much better than 28.2. At least with ESPN3 you get an HD feed which can easily be viewed on your TV. I remember last year the Baylor game was on 9.3 which was SD and a terrible SD feed at that. And to make it worse, because it was actually available on TV it was blacked out on ESPN3. Given a choice between the digital alternates and ESPN3 I will choose ESPN3 every time.

You raise a good point for people like you an me with this. If I have the choice to watch in in HD with an HDMI cord running to my TV through ESPN3 or watch it in SD on a subchannel, I'll choose ESPN3 every day of the week. It sucks that due to blackouts, they don't allow both. However, I understand other people's point that not everyone has access to ESPN3 in the CR area, while everyone does have access in some means (small indoor antenna at the worst means) to the subchannels. Also, while the subchannels suck, they do give greater exposure than ESPN3 does locally. Greedily, if I have to choose one, I'll take ESPN3.

I did this two weeks ago. I have received zero response from KFXA - which frankly doesn't surprise me too much, because KFXA/KGAN strike me as profit-grubbing money whores who don't give a damn about serving the local community. They are (or were, anyway) owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, which fits right into my opinion.

But let's e-mail carpet bomb them anyway. There is zero reason, as far as I know, that they couldn't put ISU sports on 28.2. And it's absolutely ridiculous that since they have the local broadcast rights, the games are blacked out on other venues - whether or not KFXA uses their broadcast rights or not.

I emailed them two weeks ago and got no response as well. **** 'em, I'll never watch channel 28 again until they fully support a local university in ISU.

And I just called BBW on the SW side, some random dude checked and he said they would have the game on. It might be a bust, but its worth a shot.

Also for people sending emails keep in mind this isn't just a CR issue I am in Waterloo, so another major city in Iowa to add fuel to the fire. I am sure there is more as well.

Nowhere near the size of CR or Waterloo, but add Storm Lake to that list :realmad:

Yeah, BWW probably sees it on their guide, as I do on mine, but it will be blacked out, since its supposed to be 'being shown locally'. It would only be on if they have Full Court.

Directv's sports pack appears to be showing the game. I should rephrase that, the guide shows isu vs texas but the OSU game said the same and it ended up being blacked out. Im praying like heck its on!

DTV guide says ch 698 (blacked out last time) and ALTHD 682. I'm keeping my fingers crossed 682 isn't blacked out.
