I like the uniforms. Not so much the helmets, though. Looks like something from Any Given Sunday.

The gold ones are sweet, I think they go well with the new helmet. The black ones, not so much

Didn't JP once say that there were only like 4 D-1 programs that had their mascot on their helmet rather than a letter or word? I can see why that's important now; at first glance, I wasn't quite sure what team this was. There's no "brand identity" here other than a misspelled state and a tiger. That doesn't even set them apart in their own conference, where they are one of three teams named "Tigers".

Now imagine someone from Southern California watching a game...there's a good chance they see this team and have absolutely no clue what program they are.

Helmets suck. They tlook like USFL helmets. College helmets should have letters. Oh yeah, and Muck Fizzou

Might just be me, but every game these days has the score somewhere on the screen, so I don't see the big deal.

With that said, I don't like the helmets.

Cool looking uniforms are not going to make their fans want to travel to places like South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama instead of just driving to Ames, Manhattan, Lawrence, Stillwater, Norman, etc.

Their fans still have to just HATE this move to the SEC. I can't see, as a fan, why you would like this move at all?

I would bet the majority of them did not want to leave the Big 12.

It seems that the internet people did and the fans who aren't on the internet didn't

It seems like the Fizzwho fans living in the southern part of the state, or the ones with the Wal-Mart $$$, were the ones that wanted to go to the SEC. The people in the northern part of the state, particularly the ones in the KC area, wanted nothing to do with the SEC. Of course, the big $$$ donors to Fizzwho are the ones with the Wal-Mart $$$. Guess which people the AD and President were going to listen to...
