When will JP dig a little deeper in the pockets and buy 60,000 towels for most everyone in the stadium. It looks really cool when everyone in the stadium has them not just the students who are tucked in a corner of the stadium. If you’re going to do this, do it for those of us that pay good money to get into the games. It does help with the atmosphere. I also have season tickets to a pro NFL team. When we arrive to the games, every seat has a towel in it. Not just a couple sections. I watched several college games and the majority of fans had towels not just a few.

These are not typically paid for by the team/university and are paid for by marketing partners who include their logo and other her promotional messaging.

I’d rather I have them invest in a more ongoing stadium atmosphere enhancement. One quick example would be hiring a student to DJ the in game music at both Hilton and JTS.

Hell I'd be happy if they could coordinate the band and the canned music they already play together. I'm pretty sure the P.A. has cut in on the band every game this season. Also louder doesn't mean more atmosphere, but the person running the volume doesn't seem to understand this.

I agree. I had the same thoughts last night. I believe it was the OK State game 12 years ago that a majority of the fans were given yellow towels for the game. What's the point of only the student section having them?

The " In the air" song last night was horribly distorted. Whoever was at the controls must have been tone deaf.

I think that the person in charge of the music last night was trying to completely trash the sound system before they get the new one with Phil Collins…
How do they not realize this in the moment and make a change?

Were the towels from Premier Chevy dealers? If so, they were handing them out at their corporate tent south of Scheman before the game.

Whoever is running the sound for many years doesn’t know what they are doing. As many of you already mentioned they are cranking the volume way past distortion levels and it’s painful to the listener. Some have said the fault lies with the sound system and how it is louder in some areas of the stadium than in others. What they are doing isn’t a solution.

The sound system sounds worse than a high schooler’s Civic with dual 15’s in the trunk.

It was the first 30,000 so a small majority.

I saw people grabbing 10 at a time. People go nuts when they see something free.

They need to upgrade the sound system first. It was awful last night.

Wonder how much it’d cost to have a student group put one on each seat? Cause you can’t do it at the turnstiles, cause that’s still a bottleneck. The water bottles from earlier in the year worked, but I’m sure it was similar with people taking more than 1.

Or maybe you just have that student group actually hand them out rather than leaving them in a box like they did the water bottles.

It was so bad I thought it was a ****** cover. We all stood there laughing at how bad it was.

Having said that, even perfect sound quality wouldn't make up for that head scratching song selection at such a critical point in the game.
