Tom Manning O.C.

Looks like he got bumped up from our line coach.

Hmm. Zero OC experience? That's a lot of faith. Your OC and DC are the two most important staff positions and can ,are or break your program. Not saying he won't be good just a little concerning..no?

Nope...just keep doing the opposite of what Rhoads was doing and I'll be happy.

The big advantage of hiring s head coach is getting the staff. I guess I'm surprised they are all so young though. Manning looks like he is about 12.

I do sort of hope they keep sturdy. Someone with an age greater than 35 might be nice.

Glad we have an OC. Having somebody make the jump from mid-major position coach to major conference OC concerns me but hopefully it goes okay. Offense is Campbell's side of the ball so he can guide him as needed too I guess. Frankly I'm more concerned about the DC hire.I'd also be in favor of keeping Sturdy on as QB coach. Contrary to the belief of some on this board he knows what he's doing and knows how to develop Lanning. With that said whoever it is has to work for Campbell and Manning.

Every coach with experience had to start somewhere.

The nepotism might be getting a bit carried away. I mean, I knew CMC would have some trouble attracting proven coaches but he really has just brought everyone over. It just seems a little risky.

Also, I bet Sturdy is the QB coach.

I really like the effort and such put in by the Cambell staff but I just don't think they know what they are getting into. Very few coaches come in and have success immediately. The Big XII, I'm afraid, is going to eat them up next year. Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for.
