Well I have learned quite a bit in this thread!

1. Study
2. Wrap it up
3. Drink but don't get "drunk"
4. Midnight Express
5. Stand by hotties, so other hotties come talk to you
6. Take your time
7. Get involved
8. Aim for a 3.0 freshmen year
9. Don't go back home very weekend
10. Work on campus

This wasnt in any particular order!

Horrible advice. This is when you can get drunk and not be judged. That said, don't be the drunken idiot.

I havent read all 10 pages of this thread, but didnt see this talked about much...

Keep your debt down! Work during the school year, good jobs during the summer, whatever you have to do. I know way too many people that have been out of college for 10+ years and are still saddled with school loans. Andif you run into real signifigant debt trouble in the future, school loans are not erased if you declare bancruptcy.

Hey guys, I'm headed off to ISU this fall. Living in Maple and wanted some opinions on all things I should try and do to make my college experience the best possible. Thanks!

Just get out and get to know new people. I came from Kansas City and knew no one that was going to ISU. In fact I didn't even really want to go there, but they were ranked good in my major. By the first week I loved it and met awesome people, some that will be life long friends. Enjoy it while it happens because time goes by way too fast.
