I'm not familiar with Tim but I am a big fan of Travis Justice. Being from the western side of the state, I used to watch/listen to him when I was a kid. He is a no BS kind of guy who will tell you how it is.

Again, I know nothing about Tim. I love bringing Justice into the market though.

No background on Tim? E-mail your contacts and get us some... Maybe you could do a CF interview of him.

Are you sure about that? Seems like kxno is becoming too nebraska friendly, hope your right... He does have the sports radio voice and thought his timing was solid with his humor. Lets see what happens...

Does anybody have background on Tim Fisher?

Why do you say KXNO is becoming "too Nebraska friendly"? Only time KXNO really talks Nebraska is Thursday afternoon for about 15 minutes when Sipple is on with Matt & Miller.

When Travis hosted a show on Big Sports 590, he hammered NU all the time, of course that was during the Callahan years and it wasn't hard to hammer NU during that time

As long as both aren't Hawkeye homers, I don't care who it is. I heard that Justice wants to do it from Omaha.

A friend of mine told me that justice got the job because kxno wanted a couple of hawk homers...

I thought someone said that fischer went to northern iowa. Anyone know for sure?

590 hammers Nebraska all the time because they are barred from talking to Husker coaches and players. Nebby has a deal where only its network radio stations get access.

Justice is a Hawkeye fan. Utility infielder talent. Never heard of Tim Fisher. Hopefully he's a Cyclone.

How can 590 hammer Nebraska for their policy when they haven't had local shows for nearly 2 years? 1620 has a Husker player on every Tuesday.

We give the low class jerks at kxno access to ISU and look what that gets us...

Sounds like no guests, which I'm not sure I like. I wouldn't look for alot of cyclone love on the show. They were forced to today because of last weekend.

Justice is a hok fan, but I don't think that will stop him from calling out iowa (or Nebraska) when they deserve it. He's not a Jon Miller type homer...not that there's anything wrong with being a homer. What I wanted to avoid was someone who feels the need to bag on ISU just to **** people off and drum up calls. I don't think that Travis will sink to that (Matt P./Marty T.) level. I kinda wish that Justice would have been paired up with Van Coleman, but he's a hok homer as well.

Justice was on KCCI sports some time ago. He also used to be on Murphy & Fales radio show from time to time. He has some DSM roots. I think he said he broadcasts Creighton bball games.

Should have used past tense. 590 was always the anti-Husker voice in Omaha market. I'm not even saying that was a bad thing. But it doesn't tell you anything about Justice's personal slant.

I never liked Travis Justice's segment on Murph and Andy. Never even heard of Tim Fisher. I might give a listen when I'm in Iowa, but I'll most likely just plug my ipod into the radio now.

Fischer is also a huge Hawkeye fan... I beleive he spent his show telling why he thinks Iowa will go to the BCS. He also spent a half hour teasing his epic take on why Boise State is no good and totally flopped on it. It will be interesting to see if it works with Justice in Omaha, not sure how he can keep his finger on the local pulse.

I was pulling for the Sports Freaks.

When Marty was on the east coast with Miller in the studio in Des Moines, it was a disaster. It got much much better when Marty moved back to DM (until he burned all of his bridges).

If Marty and Miller already had chemistry together and their show was a disaster when they were apart, that doesn't bode well for these 2 as I don't think they've ever worked together.

Justice is a big Hawk fan. This would normally irritate me but he is fair (and somewhat harsh) with criticism and praise. The great thing about Justice is he doesn't wear it on his sleeve. Unless you know him you probably don't know he's a fan. He isn't a confrontational shock jock, he is pretty level headed and doesn't try to poke and prod just for the sake of getting a rise out of the listeners. He also started a very good TV show after the 10:00 PM Sunday news. Since he left the show has completely tanked and failed.

I'd say it's a good addition to the Des Moines market. We'll see if he can control his fandom and continue to be neutral.

Sounded to me like Justice will dominate the conversation, or at least try to. He's always waiting for the slightest pause to jump in. If I was Fisher working in the studio, I would "accidentally" lose Travis's connection once in a while.

Really? You must have missed Justice this morning saying "and what's wrong with Bret Favre sexting Jen Sterger? Have you seen what she looks like? I'd sext her too!"
