go inside the routers config .. and change the channel (default 6) it broadcasts on to another number. I like to the the lowest or the highest setting.

Are we talking about VOIP or regular cordless phones?

You'd be better off with a 5 ghz cordless, or moving your wireless network to 5 ghz N. You can try adjusting the channel as keepngoal says, but depending on the quality of your cordless phone, it may not matter much. If you're living in a congested area (apartment building), you're probably SOL.

I have wireless internet set up to work from home and I'm on the phone and online a majority of the time. I went with the two products below and have no problems walking around the house, upstairs and downstairs, no interference or drop in performance - seems to work well for me and i didnt have to change any router settings.

yes that's the one. Sounds like her problem is the 2.4 ghz phone causing problems with the router ... I'm only getting sketchy details in her emails.

I just went through this and the key I found is to not get an analog cordless phone. I did and got static. I solved it by taking it back and getting a digital cordless phone. I ended up with a Panasonic for about $90 and it works great.
