He's been doing this for the bigger games (KU comes to mind) and it seems sorta silly to me, almost a tad unprofessional. I find it borderline annoying. It's not Gary Rima bad but I agree that it can be a little much especially for a PA guy. When your broadcast guy in Walters who is actually employed by the university is a little more professional it's kind of amusing. Doesn't bother me as much as it used to though, it's supposed to be fun, and the dude is having fun. College sports are not supposed to be all biz all the time.

It was weird. Made me facepalm a little bit when I heard it. I like the enthusiasm but I think a different line would work better here. "We Got Em" makes it sound like we've been chasing them for a long time.

Agreed. College sports should be fun but the "We Got em" just made me face palm as well. Why not a simple, Cyclones win! type of deal. I dont know. Not important by any means but my friend who isn't an ISU fan sent me a text making fun of it.

Was that what I heard? I could hear the PA announcer say something, but didn't know he was yelling that. Yeah, that's Bush League and needs to stop. The PA announcer shouldn't be a commentator - leave that for the radio.

This coupled with the F-McGary chants was embarrassing.

Couldn't agree more. It's really corny and awkward. He gets more boisterous every season. I don't mind the extended calls of the names, but no need to act like we have never won a big game at Hilton before.

I hate it, and I can see it really motivating the other team for the next time we play them. Of course this is mainly a concern for conference games where we would play a team twice.
