If you were in room with one other person. That person stated that there is another person sitting in a chair tied up with electroids attached to them in another room. This switch here will shock them, and if you turn the dial the shock increases. Would you do it?

Nope, saw a report on TV that 90% of the people would, and when the person screamed they did it more. (except there was not anyone tied up) Just someone screaming when a light turned on

Yeah, I'm familiar with it. We talked about it in the psych class I took a few years ago. Just wondering if that was where you heard it too.

90% of how many people? They probably got 10 unemployed **** heads that had a lot of rage to take out and then claimed 90% of America is heartless. I'd hope most people aren't that cold.

If I knew it wouldn't hurt that bad, I'd probably do it, but I wouldn't turn it up and keep doing it after I heard a scream.

I want to say there was a cash incentive to shock the people, but I am not sure.

there is actually the experimenter in there telling you that the person being shocked volunteered to be apart of it, the pain isn't that bad, and that it is in no way life threatening, etc.

I thought this was going to be about the weird sounding National weather service guy on the radio/tv.

This reminds me of that time when I was on a passenger ferry and I found out there was a bomb on the ferry and on another ferry, and we both had the detonator to the other ferry's bomb. If one of us didn't blow the other up by midnight, we were both going to get blown up. I don't remember what happened though.

Hmmm psych? I believe there were a series of tests conducted after WW2 to answer this question, mainly directed towards those who followed Nazi regimist orderes. The name isn't coming to me right now but it is a famous psychology experiment.

That reminds me of the time I was saving clowns, only they weren't clowns. They were actually hostages tied up to look like bad guys in clown costumes.
