ISU should have just put some locker/lock boxes in one entrance, like down below by ticket office.

So the people that about the forget about the purse policy can pay $5 to not have to walk back.

While you're at it, setup a purse and coat check. Winter coats done fit in the seats and I swear every time I put mine on the floor it gets spilled on.

People act as if this policy was only implemented at ISU. This is happening across the US, maybe world. Some advice to those complaining, go to the Fan Fest in August and get a clear bag from them.

Not a bad idea but I bet they would fill up fast. Nearly every game I've been to at least 1 person is holding up the line arguing with the person scanning the tickets about their bag or purse so its probably a common problem.

Yep. Maybe some warning signs in the parking lot would help too.

People should know but then again I set in the section where I hear the old lady yell rebound every time there is a missed shot.

Oh and 1 other thing, why not stop one of the ladies outside handing out the clear zip lock bags, dump your wife's purse contents in it, stuff her purse in your coat/belt line and walk back in. That is what I would do in that situation. Then she can put all the stuff back in her purse during or after the game.

Are they big enough to put a purse in?

Sure, but doesn't mean it isn't a dumb policy. In my mind, either go all in or don't bother. Either go all in with checking all bags, metal detectors, etc., or don't bother. Because the policy as it stands is a joke.

Bought my wife a clear purse for Christmas after going to a Vikings game and having to pay $10 to put it in a "purse check". Hassle. My wife loved her purse and it solved my yearly dilemma of what to get her for Christmas. She took it to the Alamo Bowl and was really happy with it. I've stopped a handful of people on the way in helping them avoid the walk of shame.

Slightly off topic. I no longer trust security at games. Alamo bowl we got all the way to the line walking in when my idiot friend realized he had his favorite pocket knife with him. He was going to see if they could hold onto it for him, but instead decided to try his luck sneaking it in. He held it in his hand under his phone and walk right through. Detector never went off. Both of us were baffled by it. Are they only there to detect guns or what's the purpose of it? No way that should have worked.
