Iowa State is among one of the less attractive BCS schools. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that is kidding themselves. Not because of the school, but because of location, television, and football.
But that doesn't mean we deserve to be left out of the BCS either. Our attendance, facilities, and overall success in revenue sports (remember, we have more revenue sport conference titles than A&M, KSU, OSU, TTU, Baylor, and Mizzou) makes us worthy, regardless of public perception.
Boise will never get into an AQ because their academics suck. And theyd never be as good as they have been if they had to match up academically.
So no, actually, Boise not making it into an AQ is exactly what's right with college athletics.
Chip Brown is now reporting that Texas is exploring the possibility of joining the ACC with some remaining Big 12 schools.

This would be great. Either we are included or we go Big East without threat of ACC taking Big East Teams.

Yup.
I would think KU is one of those schools because of bball and academics.
I think TTU would be going west with OU/OSU. This leaves a spot for the Pac to be filled by one of KSU/Mizzou/ISU/Baylor. There's also the SEC spot.
If KSU goes to the Pac and Mizzou to the SEC, that would mean ISU and BU getting to go along to the ACC.
With room in the Big East if need be.

Hmmm...so how come there are football and basketball players at both Cal and Michigan (the two best and most selective public universities in the country) who can barely talk?
Because there's a lot less of them on the team than Boise. Michigan can only allow so many lower level qualifiers in a year. Boise allows partial qualifiers which no BCS conference allows. That makes a huge difference.
Ok. I guess it makes as much sense as playing on the west coast. Why not the east coast.
