This place looks pretty sweet. A lot of free stuff but does anybody know how much rent would be per month? They are well on their way to being finished on the east side of Jack Trice. Looks like they will be done by this summer.

Isn't "The Grove" the breakfast place on Main St?

Edit: From that site, it looks like a more expensive and louder Freddy Court, except the people there are out to make a profit rather than to break even. I guess if you've got the money to toss around it could be alright, but I would never have wanted to live in a place like that.

Also from the site, What the heck is a "Harvard Style Library"?

I took that as a library with excessive books, all beyond the average persons reading level...??

I didnt see freddy court, i saw more of a more expensive (Sterling) University Plains. Which wouldnt be bad, i mightve lived at sterling longer than a year had their building quality not been absolutely horrible.. that and the furnace being electric caused some ridiculously large electric bills that year.

Where exactly are these being built? I have driven by JTS a few times recently and have not noticed them... I'm either blind, or they are tucked away behind some other structures?

It's on South 16th literally right next to the Ames Christian School. At first I thought they were building a gym, it's that close.

That is not the Grove. That is a different apartment complex that is going to have govt. subsidized housing. The grove is going into the east of the apartment that is already up. They ground work has not yet started on the Grove.

Both buildings are hoping to get some of the VetMed students from the trailer parks.

I boycot any business that has music automatically play on their website. Yes I know I'm petty.

Additionally, because it will be the new, hot place, there will be lots of parties. Which means that there will be lots of parties getting busted. Look for extra patrol there in the fall and don't say I didn't warn you.

College is for austerity and to gain appreciation for the fruits of employment.

I have a hard time feeling empathy for whiny millennials who complain about tuition increases and high debt load, but put a high priority on coffee bars & pools when selecting a place to live.

You wanna know why college is getting so expensive? Look here.

To live anywhere but a rundown apartment house in college is living too expensively. Plus, you can tear the ***** out of the place while living there, clean up enough before moving out and make it look basically the same as when you moved in = full deposit return.

I inquired about this place and found out that it will be $460 a person for a three bedroom and $505 per person for the two bedroom...these are on special right now.

I have to work on the weekends especially mornings and the above reason is keeping me from signing up. I'm not a party pooper but when I have to work in the morning I'm not all that happy with a bunch of noise and parties.
