Our "beloved leader" writes a great article than pukes all over it with the last line. You have every right to pick whom ever you want but it does seem disrespectful to me! I guess I just won't read your breakdown's anymore, it's too bad cause your a good writer.

This is the last paragraph of the piece.

I think that Iowa State will show up and play hard just like they’ve done all year. But I’m taking the Bears in a close one. I think that their front line mixed with LaceDaruis Dunn (who is one of the best guards in the Big 12) will be too much. I think that the Cyclones will have to work too hard to score points and because of that, I predict Iowa State to start off their 2011 Big 12 slate 0-3.

At what point do I "puke all over" the article?

It is an opinion piece.

How is giving my honest opinion about the game being disrespectful?

Duh Chris, you have to pick ISU to win every game or you're not a true cyclone fan!:jimlad:

The idea behind this thread just really bothers me. This is a fan site. Thousands of people come on here every day and give their opinion. Part of my job is to give mine, yet when I do that honestly and thoroughly do that, it upsets some people. If I picked ISU to win every single game then I wouldn't be credible and reading my columns would be pointless.

I spend 3-4 hours on each of those breakdowns with research, writing, interviewing etc. If I was belittling and poking fun at Iowa State, I could understand the hostility. That simply isn't the case though.

If the game is "winnable" and "close" what does it hurt to pick your team?

When you get to this level, what game isn't winnable? Every team has scholarship players. Nebraska is hanging with Kansas in Lawrence today. Do you think Husker fans (the real ones, not the ones who root for Creighton hoops) thought that would happen?

Man this thread has become pathetic. Chris gives his honest opinion on our team and people rip him. Wow Cyclone fans get a grip.

I think this game is winnable too IF everything goes right but I don't expect a perfect game. I expect Baylor to win by 5.

Rip on!

I could name plenty that I wouldn't predict to be close, point is if I think it's going to be close, I'll take the clones every time.

People who are arguing with Chris about his prediction are the type of people that make me second guess reading message boards. You only wanna hear good things about your team. Get a grip, were not the best team in the nation, nor do they win every game. Chris wants us to win every game as well, Look at the time the guy spends on ISU sports.

That's great. I respect that and you have every right to your opinion. Why can't I have mine? If a game is 50-50, I always do the same. I don't view this one as 50-50. Again, I REALLY hope that I am wrong. This would be a huge win for this program.

Personally, I don't mind the predictions against Iowa State because of the jinx factor. Maybe I'm just silly.

I hope you're wrong too. But if we should lose, at least you'll have a correct prediction to hang your hat on.

I'm definitely with CW on this, as a journalist he has to be neutral. Yes he's the voice of Cyclone Fanatic, and that does give him the leeway to be a little biased. However, he isn't being biased and its why CF is seeing this growth.
Fact is while Vegas sees this as basically flipping a coin, it still will be seen as an upset if we pull off the win.
I hope that Chris is wrong, but their length and Dunn scares me.

Perry Jones is shooting 54% from the charity stripe for the season. I would highly recommend we employ the hack-a-Shaq defense against him tomorrow. Body him up down low and send him to the line if he gets loose for a decent look at the basket. JVB will need to be smart with the fouls he gives, but I could easily see Godfrey and Railey using up their allotment of fouls sending Jones to the line which would be good strategy.

I am guessing CG and JR will use up their allotment of fouls without employing Hack-a-Shaq.

What's the deal with scheduling two straight Saturday games against two straight NFL biggest-game-yet-of-the-year games (Jets-Colts last week and Ravens-Steelers this week)? It could be completely out of ISU's control, if the conference does the scheduling without any input from its schools, but it still seems odd. Is anyone but ISU fans and the dozens of Baylor basketball fans watching this game?

Wrong again, CW, on the score. The Clones win 79-74. SC gets the kinks out of his elbow and is allowed to shoot freely from the outside for 30 points. Railey gets in the game and scores 10 points. CA has a hey day.
Guess I at least picked the winner this time. CW just made a mistake.
