If old Katniss won best actress, would she be the youngest to have ever done so?

Supporting Actor category is stacked! Whoever comes out of their with the statue has some bragging rights. Personally pulling for Waltz, love that guy!

Jennifer Lawrence (that is who I am assuming you mean by Katniss) wouldn't be the youngest.

Quvenzhané Wallis would.

Technically, I was asking about both. Who is the youngest person ever to win best actress up to this point? If Jennifer Lawrence would be youngest, and is older than Wallis, Wallis would DEFINITELY be youngest.

I don't think that is right. Jennifer Lawerence is already 22, so she would be older than Marlee Matlin who was 21 when she won for Children of a Lesser God.

...Aw, crap. I saw Jennifer Lawrence on the "youngest nominees" and looked at the age. Didn't notice that she was 20 back in 2010, not now.

The rest do not look so hot in their trailers.

'Silver Linings Playbook' is outstanding. Really great movie. I'd put it above 'Lincoln', which was also great. DD Lewis should walk away with best actor, and he deserves it, the guy is amazing as Lincoln. A shame that Bradley Cooper is up against him, in any other year I'd say Cooper could easily win for 'Playbook'. Jennifer Lawrence should win best actress.

Wow... Have you seen all of them? For example, if you want to see Amour in central Iowa before the Oscars, you have to go up to Minnesota.

Not trying to be a jerk, but have you actually SEEN all of them? Zero Dark Thirty and Amour would be extremely hard to see given your location and the fact they aren't playing much wide right now. Just a question.

I live in MPLS and we get a lot of these movies early, but no Zero Dark Thirty until Friday (going to see it Sunday).

I have see everything else, so leaving ZDT out of it, here is my list from best to worst.

Amour
Django Unchained
Argo
Lincoln
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Silver Linings Playbook
Life of Pi
Les Mis (I absolutely detested it)
