Here are the simple, realistic paths to Dallas: Win out-guaranteed. Lose to only TX, need TX to lose to OSU or KSU (probable). Lose to KSU only and need KSU to lose to OSU, TX, and WVU (less probable). If we lose to both, we're out because either OU beats OSU and has 2 losses, or we end up in a 3 way tie with either OU, KSU, or TX and they'd have tie-breakers over us.

There’s so much left to play out.

We will be favored in every game by every predictor besides the Texas game. If Herman is gone, I think we beat Texas, too...

Win out baby.

Updated and will update again tonight.
At the time of this post, Tom Herman will be fired tomorrow and we can afford a loss to Texas (barring we win the other games)

It would be better for ISU to have Herman make it through the season, how often have you saw a team rally and play good ball after the head coach is fired. Very Common.

It would play better if ol' Tom is "dead man walking" when we play them, players check out knowing its going to happen, and the coaches are looking for their next job, and worried about coaching the season out.

Oh yeah puh-lease.

It would be better for Iowa Stare if Herman were to stick around at TD as the next few years.

Otherwise the Longhorns might accidentally pick a great coach as his successor.

That would kill recruiting, they'll buck up and get a replacement in to try and salvage their 21 class.

What happens if all these teams finish with 2 losses?

OK State (losses to Texas & OU)
Iowa State (losses to Ok St. & Texas)
Texas (Losses to OU & TCU)
OU (Losses to K-State & Iowa St.)

What’s that OSU loss mean for us?
Didn't help us. Definitely keeps Texas in the race now. More than likely have to win out to get to Title game otherwise don't think tie-breakers will go our way.

Who knows though some strange upset could occur.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on WVU against Texas next week. That defense is pretty nasty, and their offense is looking better. Texas coming off a high with the win tonight, and it's ripe for a letdown game. Plus, Texas needed 4 turnovers and STILL it took OT to win today. This is the same Texas that should have lost to Texas Tech if not for the biggest choke job this season by the Red Raiders. Texas is not guaranteed to win out.
