I never said he ruined anything. Hell I said he's a top 4 figure at Iowa state.

I just don't think he liked being a coach here. And I don't think that is pollards fault.

He hated every second of being on that sideline. You could tell in his evil eyes.

Yeah, I mean who would want to coach in the NBA. It is only the pinnacle of the basketball world. For example, no one would ever leave Kentucky to coach in the NBA but yet we are supposed to believe he wanted to leave Iowa State to coach for Chicago? yeah right. I bet he never even had health issues .Liars.

I do question the judgement of someone wanting to work for the scum that is garpax. ;)

Look, I just don't believe the whole life me of crap they tried to sell when he left. I'm clearly the only one.

But if he were to go to Ohio state, I'd be the only one who predicted that, do maybe you should realize that I might just be more perceptive than you.

If this were to happen, I'd be even more unbearable ;)

I took a lot of crap 2 years ago because I didn't believe the line of crap that Fred's people tried to spin.

Yeah you said he hated ISU and he's been back numerous times for football games, went and supported the golf program at the NCAA's, reaches out to Prohm after games, etc.

I said he hated coaching at Iowa state. Big difference.

And everyone else said he hated college coaching period, hated recruiting, would retire in a few years, would be s GM before he coached college again.

We will see who is eventually right.

He does hate recruiting and has said it a million times over.

Yeah they are the scum of the Earth. Deplorable. You are right, I doubt one person in the world predicted he would be the coach of Ohio State.

Brian Snow of Scout just posted on premium boards that there is serious buzz for Hoiberg to Ohio State.

Is Gene Smith prepared to make Hoiberg the fourth highest paid coach in college basketball? Because anything less than that and Fred's taking a big pay cut. There's still three years and 15 mil left on his Bulls contract.

He doesn't care about the money. It was just an excuse to get away from the school he hates coaching at.

I predicted he'd be coaching in the big 10 or acc after next year. So I'd technically be a bit wrong. In my defense most schools don't get ride of a coach so late.

After all this, he'll probably still be in Chicago next year ;)

I don't know why you are so defensive about this. We all want the best for Fred. We want him to Live His Dreams, all oprah style.

Just because I've been consistent and not believed the spin doesn't mean I'm wrong.

What spin didn't you believe? That he hated recruiting? That his dream was to coach in the NBA? I think both those have been proven by comments and his contract at ISU

I don't believe that he will never coach college again. That was spin. I don't believe that he will retire early. That was spin. And I don't believe that he truly hatedvrecruiting.

Why do you keep pushing your ridiculous theory every time a college coaching job opens up? Unless or until your fantasy comes true, then drop it. We all know what you think, and if you ever end up right then you can say told you so all you want.

I think you're right. Getting McDermott to add to the spin was actually genius looking back at it

Through Coach Hoiberg, I’ve learned what makes my dad such a great college coach. My dad loves the process of college basketball — having a system, recruiting, having players return year after year. Coach Hoiberg, on the other hand, disliked some aspects of recruiting. He always says, “Man, I don’t miss Facebook-messaging recruits at midnight just to get ahold of them.” But I think my dad really has a temperament for that kind of thing.

I don't bring it up. But I'll discuss it once it comes up.

We should all be happy if Fred wants the job and gets it. I see no harm in hoping/discussing that a great former player and former coach at Iowa state, realize yet another dream.

Disliking some aspects of recruiting isnt really the same thing as hating recruiting.

He never said those first two things. Now you are just taking things people said and saying he lied about them when he never said those things. You are also saying those things are spin without any evidence to prove otherwise. Same as your last statement. And all of them. It is like you are an anti-vaxer.
