I've never been to their stadium for a game, but have been in their stadium for an event in the summer. I've heard bad things about their fans, but their stadium seemed like itd be a good place for a game.

No question. The only way I'm ever going back to Lubbock is if we're guaranteed a win. Horrible, horrible fans. We arrived too late to park in Tceh's equivalent of "student" lots. Thank God we did, would have had a keyed car and 4 slashed tires after the game, and they BEAT US BY 50. The stadium is built into the ground much like Carver-Hawkeye is. It's hot as hell and everyone is drunk. Not ISU "having a good time" drunk, but "**** you let's fight" belligerant drunk.

Nothing says classy fans like having to summon two state troopers to stop three of their students from beating up a 60+ year-old couple for being upset at them smoking behind them (the older lady was wearing an oxygen mask and had a PRESSURIZED, COMBUSTABLE OXYGEN TANK at her feet)

From the rude, profane fans to the horrible drive through the panhandle, just a ****** all-around experience. Best advice to someone thinking about going: DON'T. If you MUST go, come in force (over 6 people) or pack a weapon.

I will say one positive thing about Tech. When I was on Spring Break in South Padre a few years ago, the Tech girls were abnormally hot, even compared to the UT girls - I could not believe it.

Sorry, but the guy who wrote that comes off as a real deutsche bag. How is he such an expert? Anyone who puts the swamp as one of the 10 worst places to watch college football needs to be put out of their misery.

God man, I hope you didn't get on that. Lubbock, Texas has the highest STD rate per capita of any college town in America. UT and A&M fans refer to it as the Tech Clap. *clap*

Still shocking how much worse they are than their counterparts.
Fans in Austin? Awesome.
College Station? Even better.
Waco? Don't know, I didn't see any

To be honest, I seriously think that Iowa, is one of the worst places to watch a game as a visiting fan....First of all the space between seats is built for danny devito or verne troyer, which would leave out the normal 6' tall person ,and then the fans are soooooo arrogent and annoying....in the sense of not knowing what they are talking about the game but they think they do.....One thing is, you better hope your team wins or else you'll hear it from every fan for the 2 or so miles you walk back to your car, and the 2-odd hours you spend in a traffic jam trying to leave iowa city.....But on a lighter note, Nebraska fans have probably the nicest opposing fans i've seen...
