Chase Daniel.

A name that lives in infamy.

Hes also a legend for amassing just 274 pass attempts and 9 TDs over 14 NFL seasons while earning over 41 million dollars.

Repeating but he's my favorite NFL career.

Rake in the cash to go travel and go in occasionally to throw to the flats.

Winning is what matters. If ISU does not win the conference winning big vs TT not going to matter. Maybe if ISU blew the doors off a bunch of Teams in a row to end season, before a close loss, but that seems unlikely
The only sure way for Iowa State to get in the playoffs is by winning the Big 12 Championship Game. If we get to the game undefeated and lose, we need to have a resume that will stand up against other 1 loss teams from the Big 12 or the ACC and 2/3 loss teams from the Big 10 or SEC. Style points aren't necessary, but they will be helpful in the college football playoff rankings. It would be good for us to be ahead of BYU, K State, IU, ND, A&M and Clemson in the initial rankings. Style points will play a factor and we all know the committee will be looking for reasons to knock us down.

yeah i don't think he's better than their starter, especially throwing the ball.

he's an 18 year old true freshman who has 0 experience.
All true, but there's also very little film on him, so less info for Heacock to scheme. I've no data, but it feels like last minute QB/offense changes have been a problem for the defense under CMC/JH.

Maybe I am just still traumatized by Donavan Smith at Tech a few years ago. Or Jason Bean last year.

Much like UCF, Tech has a pretty good run game...Brooks will be tough to stop. Hopefully no long TD runs. And if Rocco can clean it up on the turnovers, I like our chances to win this. Hopefully with Tech's passing defense being one of the worst in the country, we can air it out a bit (weather permitting)

THIS. We just need to clean the big plays up in the run game. Statistically our run defense looks pretty bad on the season, but it's a handful of big plays that have killed us. ~27% of the rushing yards we've given up this year have been on 6 individual plays, which is absolutely insane. Kaleb Johnson had runs of 37 and 54, Sneed (Houston) had one for 37, RJ Harvey 46 and 80 and Jacurri Brown for 67.

So on the season, 237 attempts for 1,192 yards against us for a 5.03 average. Set aside those 6 and it's 231 attempts for 871 yards for a 3.77 average which is ~Top 45 in the country.

Avoid the big whiffs/broken plays and we're in a great spot.

This has to be an effect of having so many injured linebackers. VS UCF they were not in position a few times and others just really too slow to catch up.

IMHO, the pick sixes are what killed us against UCF. We gifted them 14 points. Take those away and the game isn't even close, even with the big run plays. Let's say if those drives had stayed alive and we go on to score, we put them in a position where they have to eventually start throwing the ball and running it less. And we all saw how bad their passing game was when it came down to that late in the game. They ran up and down the field for 3 qtr's, 350+ yds rushing, and we still stayed in the game. My 2 cents...
