Getting a win is a must, but we also need to start putting up some style points with the national audience. The playoff committee will be looking for reasons to put one or two loss teams in front of us. We need to beat the crap out of Texas Tech and make a statement.

Style points are just that. If we can get them, great. Just win baby

ISU will not struggle with Tech. They have a decent offense and can score, except probably not on our defense with a backup QB. And they cannot stop a soul on defense. ISU by 17-21 ish

IMO this will be Abu Sama’s breakout game of 2024

I just watched the 2nd half of the TCU/Tech game. Their freshman QB looks legit to me. Yes he made a couple very freshman mistakes... but he looks competent enough to do some very real damage. Obviously Brooks will be huge for their offense too.

We will again need to tackle well. And again a fast start should lead to an less stressful game.

I was also thinking Abu is due to have a big game.

Winning is what matters. If ISU does not win the conference winning big vs TT not going to matter. Maybe if ISU blew the doors off a bunch of Teams in a row to end season, before a close loss, but that seems unlikely

Yeah, style points don't matter much unless you're in the Big 10 or SEC imo. Iowa State, BYU, Kansas State, or Colorado can only hope to run the table here on out for a playoff spot.

Line moving up in our favor, I ain't scared
That's a good thing. Tech has lost 2 straight and are out of title contention. Could have some quit in them. But we thought the same about UCF, too, so certainly am not recommending that tech be taken lightly.

Reminds me of that Missouri game when Brad Smith went down and their backup (Danielson?) torched us.
Chase Daniel.

A name that lives in infamy.

Hes also a legend for amassing just 274 pass attempts and 9 TDs over 14 NFL seasons while earning over 41 million dollars.

I still remember that game - listening to it on the radio while I did yard work. Horrible snatching of defeat from the jaws of victory.

I was there, Gandalf, 3000 years ago...
