Does anyone know why there are never crowds at JTS above the official capacity like at some other stadiums? Do those other stadiums have standing room only which isn't possible at stadiums like JTS?
At some point we changed how we report it. We used to report over capacity. Now we only report capacity, and never report anything over that number.

I believe we set a capacity number, with the hills and at one time would oversell the hills etc, but now the way we sell the hills we only sell so many, or at least even if they over sell them we just no longer report that.

Because our capacity number also includes hills, band, some on field personnel and the suites and press box, my guess is at times we do go above the set number, we just no longer report that.

I have read things that word it exactly like that, "ISU does not report numbers beyond capacity." So I take that to mean its just how we report it.

Thanks! That helps me understand it better. And I guess standing room only outside of the hills isn't accounted for or isn't a thing.

I don't know if it's related, but i know they can't do any significant modifications of capacity or seating without major upgrades to conform to ADA requirements. I kinda feel like it's related, but it's just a guess

NWS forecast creeping toward the positive:

2:30 (kickoff) - 57 F, SE 10, 10% precip
4:00 - 56 F, SE 10, 16% precip
6:00 (end of game) - 55 F, SE 10, 29% precip
7:00 - 54 F, SE 10, 77% precip
This could change again, but I've been watching this for a day now. Last night, it was about 59% chance of showers at 5pm Sat. Just now it is only 19%!

I take that as the rain is trending toward holding off (mostly) until 7 pm and later. Good!

So, c/c/w it is. I'm OK with that. The team and coaches seem to like it and it's a good look.

I'm wondering if we will ever see the gold pants this year? A few games left. Any guesses?

I'm going to guess gold pants vs Cincy (c/c/g), OR
against Utah (c/w/g). Of the two, I'd bet Utah.

Or maybe they don't plan on using them, just practice pants?

I am guessing that KSU will be difficult to sell out (holiday and weather). Question remains what the two teams will be playing for, and how many KSU fans may try to crash the party.

Dear Professor Heacock,

I understand your process in playing a base defense to start each game. You will see what the offense is trying to attack then make changes to take it away.

But can we not allow a TD on the opening possession this time? I’d be happy if Tech was held to a FG

Thanks for listening
