It means nothing. ISU wins by double digits tonight regardless of the spread.

I beg to differ. It means that more people were willing to bet on the "name" team so they had to move the spread to even out the money.

What was that ridiculous stat? I looked it up ISU 18-8-1 against the spread.

I agree I don't think it matters much. But the linemakers in Vegas are smart people and don't lose money very often. With that being said the fact that the line open at a Pick'em and has now moved to Texas -1.5 makes me very sceptical and nervous but I still think we will have enough fire power to get the job done tonight!

I think it's about right given UT is firmly on the bubble. Prepare yourself for UT to get all the calls while we will get none.

Vegas is Vegas for a reason. They are right or close far more than they are wrong.

Yep, this is a "playoff" game for TX. They will give us everything they've got and will be a good test for ISU to prepare for the Big Dance.

Good, it's only 1.5 points, but I'm glad Texas is favored and I hope our guys now know Texas is favored in Vegas.

I hope national pundits and *experts* keep disrespecting this team and feeding the beast!

Not that surprising, Texas is going to be desperate tonight. This game is likely to be close most of the way, I think we will pull it out though.

It has nothing todo with being smart, it is splitting the bets 50-50 making money on the commission

It's not Vegas, but their customers that don't know we are going to have a Texas beatdown tonight.

I'm glad there's not sportsbooks in Iowa. I would probably wager a handsome sum of money at that line.

not true, majority of bettors are on ISUs side, about 60% of them. The spread still moving in favor of Texas.

So that means either Vegas loves Texas, and wants more people to take ISU which they do sometimes, or the majority of fans are on ISU, and the big money guys are on texas.

Either way, the smart money is on Texas.
