Thanks for the heads up!

Would like to see how the board displays "Congratulations, Cyclones! Big 12 Champions!"

I think it would probably look really nice.

Or Winners of whatever replaces the Cy Hawk trophy

O.k, I'd rather have the south endzone bowled in (which must be in the future works as the new board is in the NORTH end of the stadium), but dang, I have to admit, I'm impressed as all get out with the new board. As tall as the top of the grandstand (less press box, of course) and makes the goal posts look Lilliputian. If it performs as well as it looks, we will have done GOOD! My sons will be happy that it will take away from noticing the Jacobsen Building so much.

Stupid question alert -- what is the seating for games in the Jacobson building? Is there private boxes? Is it just one big area for special guests? I always see people in there on gameday, but never have figured out what the setup is in there.

Just drove by this bad boy over lunch today and it is awesome. They were testing the screen and it looks even bigger when it's displaying something. The pictures really don't do it any justice at all. It is massive.

i have a question, How is the board winterized? are the cables and cords engineered to withstand the elements. obviously these people know what they are doing. I just do not understand how the electronics can with stand the elements. can anyone explain this to me?

Are they putting new speakers all around JT or just on the scoreboard? It would be awesome if they had speakers throughout the stadium.

I would like to know the speaker setup also..
It didn't seem like they put much speakers in unless i missed it. OR it could be that its so large they speakers looked small. I don't know.

I think just on each side of the scoreboard. It'd be extremely difficult to make it sound good if there were speakers all around the stadium.

Its not; Jp told me to bring it down here to Texas every Winter. I am working on the 2 story addition to fit it in my living room as we speak. I am so going to kick but in Call of Duty over Xmas

I agree. People that haven't seen it in person won't understand. It's big. And it looks great in that endzone.

USA! USA! USA!

I was at the first game in Kinnick when they unveiled their new scoreboard, it had many flaws throughout the first game both audio and visual. I am not going to expect perfection the first game or so.

EDIT: ah damn, when I posted this, there was a picture of Old Glory on the screen
