Was the TCU QB holding out and actively on the hunt for more $$$? I don't think he was. That to me seems to be the difference here.

If the TCU QB was not in the transfer portal, then to me this is just as bad if not worse look for Heupel. I see an athlete holding out to renegotiate in the same light as recruiters going after kids that haven’t said they want to transfer.

So the former Tenn QB is bad for wanting a raise...but Tenn is OK with offering the TCU QB a raise if he comes to Tenn? I get it...not defending the former Tenn QB...just a symbol of how messed up all of this is! I mean...last week Heupel was a god for standing up to Nico...universally praised...but now he needs a QB and he attempts to persuade another team's QB to leave his current program by offering him more money than he is already making? And what does this say about a QB that would leave his program that no one individual player is bigger than anyone else...blah blah blah...
Excellent point/reminder. So much if it's lip service now based on what side of a situation you are on.

I think that's what is so annoying even on our own teams....I'm sure some of our "committed" bball players listened to offers (and I'm ok with that).....we just can't act like they are better than a kid who transferred, etc.
