It's ultimately good for us but I feel bad for the kid. He was great when healthy but injuries have pretty well ruined his college years. He's a helluva ball player and competitor

As long as his injuries don't seem that threatening and we aren't transfer banned somehow...

Jalen Fisher coome on doooooown, you're the next contestant on the best transfer program in basketball.

Rothstein makes a good point about how injuries have affected the Big12 this year, much more than a typical year.

Prohm had shown he likes multiple PGs on the floor together. Be a great sit one play one. How lax are the transfer rules now?

ISU did recruit Jaylen in HS and was in his top 10 before he first chose UNLV then flipped to TCU late. I doubt TCU would allow him to transfer in the B12 plus with his injury history I am not sure Prohm would be all that interested.

Huge loss of TCU though, excellent PG and TCU was a threat for the B12 with him running the offense. Always liked Fishers game. Feel bad for the player not realizing his full potential due to injury.

Too bad for him. Great player. I hoped we’d land him at first, but with his injury history I think he’s too risky of a take now.

I’d say that their coach might be looking to move elsewhere and either he’s told his players to get out mid-season transfer or they aren’t waiting around to find out and lose a semester.

Is Dixon headed to UCLA maybe? EDIT: didn’t read the full thread and see others saying same

You could put ISU at the top of that list for non conference play, we're going to end up with about 3 games all season that we aren't down key contributors due to injuries.
I'd contend that this is true for conference play as well. Wiggs still getting acclimated (we haven't seen his best yet this season), Lard has played limited minutes, Solo is out. That is 3 starters / major contributors from last year's team (and 3 contributors that had a lot of success vs Big XII competition).

I think he's a Memphis native. Maybe going home to play for Penny

That's what I thought too...wasn't sure he was from Memphis but thought he was from somewhere in Tennessee...so transferring to Memphis would make sense.

Wow. Too bad for him, hope he's able to recover. Seems odd that he's transferring though.

Wonder if him and his family are not happy with how the medical staff has done things?

Either way, that sucks for him. Kid is really good when healthy.

Fran weighed in, seems Jaylen wanted to play the point and wasn't going to be put in that position add in the injury the transfer makes more sense.

@franfraschilla Smelled the Jaylen Fisher stuff coming. Between three knee surgeries & a desire to play point guard, he’s out. This sets a good @TCUBasketball team back a little bit. Ironically, he was so effective off playing with passing maestro, @arob25_ .

I'm still hoping that their coach is on the way to UCLA with all the defections going on over there.
