TCU Game anyone going

Wanting to know who is going to this game and is there an official pre-game.

I won't be at the game but this did pop up here a couple days ago. Sounds like a good time. Several people in both threads for you to get in contact with.

For those of you who are making the trip for the TCU game, the local DFW ISU alumni club is putting together an informal tailgate. We plan to start tailgating about 9am. There will also be a happy hour Friday in Fort Worth for those in town or maybe getting into town early enough. See the flyer attached for details.

It's always fun to find a bar that is welcoming Iowa State fans on an away trip, and here is one that is for the TCU game. Interesting that their featured drink is the "Cyclone" so maybe it's just meant to be! It is a brand new bar and grill that has just opened, and they hope to be a Big 12 gathering place. FREE parking for patrons day of game, and FREE shuttle to game. They are only 1/2 mile from stadium. Here is a note I received from the owner....

Flying in from OR. A pre-pregame is at XII Bar & Grill on Berry St just east of the campus. They'll provide free parking and game shuttles for Cyclone patrons.

Four of us are coming in from LA on Friday, and we'll be whooping it up with our TCU friends, and then consoling them after the game.

We will be there. The weather is going to determine which of the pre-game options we choose. We will either do the ISUAA tailgate with catered food and cash bar (nice weather, outside) or the Big XII bar (not nice weather, indoors). The DFW club has a great option too and if we decide we want to drag a few coolers out that may come into play.

Really looking forward to this game.

2005 Houston Bowl, I drove down from Ames. It was a good game even though we lost.
