I meant pork. If you come across some local lamb chops, you've hit the jack pot. Many of the local beers are pretty tasty too.

My older brother upon his graduation from ISU in AeroE took a job in Waco many years ago for Raytheon (now L3). Yeah, not much going on in Waco....I wouldn't suggest moving their for the atmosphere.
Doesn't sound like any of the local alumni groups are holding anything "official" but quite a few will travel to Waco on their own.
Don't know about the alumni group, but there are a lot of Austin Cyclones heading up, I'll be there with 3 others.
I'll be there as well, with 3 from Austin and maybe 1 joining us from Dallas.
There will be a bring-your-own-everything tailgate gathering of Austin and Dallas people in Lot J, west of the stadium, as close to Clay Ave as we can get. There will be a (not gigantic) ISU flag. All ISU fans are invited. As far as I know, there is no "official" ISU function.
Btw, the rumors are true that Baylor STILL technically has a no-alcohol policy. BUT their campus police have become extremely relaxed on it ? as long as you cover up the bottle/can label with a koozie or preferably just pour your drink in a cup. Remember that! We watched the police last time make some Baylor fans dump their beer because they were supposed to know better.
In spite of what has been rumored, Waco is NOT dry. There are a couple of places I like. George's is just off the interstate on the west side at 1925 Speight. It is fan-friendly. Look for the billboards. Crickets, downtown at 211 Mary Ave, is a draft house and grill, with lots of beer selection and good food.
We look forward to seeing all of you that come to Waco.
You should see no problems with adult beverages as long as one behaves.
I've yet to have seen an issue in our area and it's pretty open.
Of course, a cup or coozie doesn't hurt the chances of care free tailgating.
If you guys get the chance, come visit us in Lot D.
