The new season starts tonight. I haven't really paid attention to the promos leading in yet to be honest and my kids have something going on every night but Friday right now so I'll start the thread and chime in with thoughts once we get to watch the episode. I will avoid looking at this thread until I am caught up with the most recent episode as I hate spoilers and I don't even follow the show's page on social media because I don't want to know anything about an episode before I watch it. It does drive me nuts when I see you guys posting a bunch after an episode because it means I'll probably see something good that week!

I've been nagging to get spouse to look at the bios so that we can do our schoolyard pick of winners BEFORE the show starts for once. Usually he procrastinates until we have to watch it several days after airtime and I have to duck spoilers. Looks like it will be that way again this year.

I just realized by this post that it starts tonight. Have seen a few promos. I love the time of year when Big Brother is winding down, The challenge is just getting started and Survivor is starting. My three favorite constest type shows.

Pet Peeve: Big Brother should be finishing up this week, not going for another month. It's a summer thing and needs to start sooner than it has the last couple of years.

As always, excited for Survivor to return.

I’m in a random draw pool. I got Jon the former Whitehouse speech writer and Sam, nfl reporter.
I don’t have high hopes for these 2 but ya never know.

Glad it's back. Gave up on big brother before first eviction. Casting was a joke and bb is always so predictable.

Survivor is superior in every way.

At first glance some of the females on this cast are not too hard on the eyes...

I don't know why but the past several seasons it's the ones who are in their early-/mid-20s and are UBER confident that are the ones easiest to dislike IMO. It's funny because I have a daughter who's 23 and is smart and confident in herself. But watching them on this show and seeing the attitude many of them seem to have that they have something to teach all of us about strategy and thinking and life in general is just really grating. I think I'm just getting old.

There's a lot of age shaming from the youngest cast members in some of the recent seasons, it seems. This cast has an older average age, I thing - youngest is 24.
Reading the bios of a couple of them, I'm prepared to dislike them on sight. Arrogant, bitchy, whiny...blerg.

I'd like to see Sue do well; she seems to be in pretty good shape unlike some of the other older contestants in the past. And kudos to her for going after this even though we know the young'uns think oldsters are dead weight...which I would definitely be. :D

I haven't started watching yet, curious how Jon Lovett does in this game. He doesn't strike me as being good in challenges but his humor should play well at camp.

Last few seasons have sure had their fair share of early season breakdowns who have no idea what they’re getting themselves into, somehow

I think Andy might be on the spectrum. I don’t have a lot of experience with people on the spectrum but the way he talked about changing in his personal life and blurting out exactly what was in his mind, makes me think he is.

I don't know the rules for spoilers in case some may be still watching on delay but:

So much dumb in the yellow tribe right now. Somehow Jon is the liability and not the guy that had a break down because no one clapped when he opened a coconut. Plus someone that had to lay in the shade during a puzzle challenge (I'm glad they he choose safety and got water/cooled down), but a person that can't finish a challenge is a Liability.

On the flip side, I really think Jon made a massive mistake by trying to throw the target off of Andy who admitted that he thought about throwing him under the bus. And it seems the girls were leaning to getting rid of Andy why stop the obvious vote? Jon's play on Anika most likely rubbed everyone the wrong way like Sam. Pretty fitting that Andy votes off Jon just like he said he thought about during at the challenge.

I think Yellow is going to quickly regret their boot. I have a feeling they might be a tribe that is repeatedly steamrolled in challenges and over all be dysfunctional.
