Been frustrating here half way between Muscatine & Burlington. Can get a glimpse for maybe 5 seconds or so every now and then, but that's been about it. Moon is too low in the sky to see it well where I am.

**I thought it was supposed to be red for awhile and THEN eclipse????

It's starting to eclipse right now (8:10pm CST) and it's not red

It was red earlier 730 pm is bright red. And around 80 pm a little red. Pretty cool now

Wish there was less light pollution, but still pretty sweet.

Great view where I am in SE Iowa. I am a long way from any town so almost no light pollution outside of my house. Just a bunch of cows going crazy.

I'm still amazed at how they can predict these type of things and be pretty accurate as far as starting times and so on.

One of my teen daughters just loves photography - she got some very cool pics of it. So glad that it was a clear sky here in Grinnell tonight!
