Knocked up disappointed me. Not bad but OK. I can't wait to see Superbad though.

I thought knocked up was great. Maybe it is that the wife had pretty much been pregnant for the 3 years previous to that.

Ok, we are half an hour in, this movie sucks worse than about anything I have ever seen. Does it get any better?

Once a movie gets super-hyped like superbad it tends to disappoint. That being said, thought it was pretty funny but a little long.

It didn't live up to the hype for me. It's no Tommy Boy.

There is no way I can ever catch 22. He is still outdistancing himself from the pack...

I got about an hour and 45 min through that movie and just had to turn it off. I don't think I laughed once.

But see, Tommy boy and those types of movies werent vulgar and still funny. I think comedy has taken a turn for the worse. Its gross out vulgarity anymore because they just dont have comedy writers with a whole lot of talent anymore. Tommy Boy had some adult humor at times, but it teatered on the fine line which made it funny. Same with Dumb and Dumber, etc.

The movie was what it was supposed to be, it really needs no in-depth analysis or commentary on today's youth.

Was it the funniest movie in the world? Not even close.

Did I laugh a few times, absolutely. The scene where Evan is singing in the bedroom is hilarious. There were a few conversations in the movie that I actually remember having with friends when I was that age, and that too made it extremely funny.

I guess I lived a sheltered life, because I remember none of that when I was a teenager. Well other than trying to get the girls drunk... Wait no that was this past weekend.

You don't remember having discussions with your friends about female anatomy? About getting girls drunk? You don't remember drinking with your friends in the basement and acting like total idiots? You don't remember going to older kids parties and being totally out of your element?

I am not saying that this movie imitates life, but there were parts of it that reminded me of some crazy times.

This is a great post. No need to find the "meaning of life" from this movie. Just see it for what it is...funny (or in some people's opinion not funny). I laughed so hard I hurt from laughing! I saw it in the theater and walked out knowing I was going to buy it when released. I did. I watched it again and laughed just as hard.

It is OK if people don't like it...who would want everyone to have the same taste in entertainment? That would be pretty boring. As for SuperBad...I loved it.

So you watched almost the whole thing? You would have only had like 5 minutes to finish it.

It was too hyped up to me...I was expecting anchorman/old school funny and I don't think it came close. There were definitely funny parts and some good 1 liners though.

One of my favorites is when Seth Rogan (one of the cops) is winded after chasing one of the boys and the other cop catches up and Rogan is puking on the side of the road while saying "It's just beer. Just beer."

I am at a loss as to how anyone who isn't a fun hating tee-totaller nazi would not find this movie an absolute riot! Most of the dialog in this movie could have been lifted out of conversations I've had with my friends, and I assume that would go for most of us here. The fact that it seemed so close to my experiences, and those of most of my friends made it absolutely hilarious, personally. I guess if you didn't live through similar experiences, it wouldn't be quite as funny. I still think it's the funniest movie I've seen in a long time.

Some of that yes. Getting girls drunk, no. I guess its a movie so its supposed to be over the top. I wasnt an angel by any means, but I also had alot more respect for women and myself than what is portrayed in alot of movies these days.

I enjoyed the move thoroughly for what it is, entertainment.
