As far as I'm concerned, hot sauce is an essential condiment.
There are a huge number of smaller manufacturers that are fantastic, but of the bigger brands, what's your favorite?
And what are some of your favorite applications?

For example, home made fried rice with Trader Joe's Green Dragon Sauce is a winning combination.

Crystal is more popular in the south. I think Jethro's might have it, if you want to try it in the Iowa area. Some people swear by it. I think it's fine, but nothing special.

It depends for what food. Wings = Frank’s, Asian = sriracha, everything else = cholula or Tabasco. I also like green hot sauces too when I want a variety

I just read an article about hot sauces. I don't venture out too much, stick to Tabasco
https://www.mashed.com/1617128/hot-sauce-brands-use-highest-lowest-quality-ingredients/
That is the exact article I was reading prior to creating this thread.

They mention Secret Aardvark on there, which is very good, especially on breakfast items. There's a breakfast sandwich restaurant in Portland Oregon called "Fried Egg I'm in Love" that puts it on most of their offerings, and it's excellent.

I love all of these (never had TRUFF) and they all have their place.

I voted Huy Fong because it’s probably the one I use the most widely.

We’re not big hot sauce users but we do love using the hot Jimmy Dean sausage and hot Rotel to spice up certain dishes.

Also recently tried Chik-fil-A’s jalapeño salsa and thought tastes a lot like Taco Times hot sauce.

TRUFF is different than most hot sauces. It's not very spicy at all, and has a distinctly savory flavor to it, due to the truffle. It probably doesn't have quite as wide of a range of applications that other sauces do, but it's not bad.

Valentinas extra hot with the black label is the goat of cheap hot sauces. As for fancier hot sauces, don't have a favorite, too many good ones out there right now in vastly different styles.
