I am afraid that this type of behavior is not just concentrated in the SEZ. We have seats in the ADA section, and I cannot tell you how often we come to our seats, and people are sitting in them, or standing in the area. We have asked politely, and when needed, firmly, for folks to clear out of our seats. I have even had to literally push an usher to our area so he could get the people in our seats to move.

Don't get me started on how many people stand behind us and up against the wall.....Grrrr....Get off my lawn! These folks are not much of an issue, unless we need to move wheelchairs around.

The one incident that took the cake was last year (vs. WV, I think). I come back from the bathroom with my son, and this gentleman was standing in one of our seat areas. I come up to the spot, politely say "excuse me", and proceed to help my son sit down. A few minutes later, this "lady" (turns out it was the guy's wife), comes up and stands right in front of me (in our seat area). So I proceed to ask her if she could remove herself from our seat area, and she goes off on a drunken rant about if I liked having someone come up and stand in front of me (apparently like I did to her husband) going on about ....pretty rude and inconsiderate.....blah, blah, blah. She didn't like it when I asked her if she had tickets to the seats, and informed her that she didn't (because they were our ticketed seats). I thanked her for her time and proceeded to turn around and resume watching the game. I was waiting for her or her husband to do something further....but it didn't happen, save for her continuing to chirp until she realized that I wasn't going to acknowledge her and she and her husband left.

I have seats that are just above one of the vomitories in the SE corner. I am amazed at the number of people who will stand in the stairwell for the whole game. I don't say anything to the usher until they go and stand right up by the rail blocking our view of part of the field. Hey, we got seats in a row with no row in front of us for a reason.

I’ve had tickets in there from the jump... and they do and have kicked people out on several occasions.
Time to Raise the StandardTM in the Club.

People actually thought they had "their" spots in the club? So we have mafia folks and/or teenagers as Sukup Club members?

I am sure the AC is nice in early September and the heat is nice in November.

Remo just posted a few posts before this that he had end zone tickets. You're on his hit list now, haven't you seen the ending of Casino?

In all seriousness, I sit in the end zone 3-4 times a year and have never witnessed anyone being harassed but I sit pretty close to the field. The only time I spend inside is buying 6$ busch lights and using the restroom though. I did notice it was always the same people at those tables every game, ALL game. I wonder why those people go to the game at all, get out and cheer the team for christ sake.

Isn't this term actually used at Kinnick? I've never heard it used at Jack Trice and never want to hear it again.

Seems like it could have been taken care of more easily and privately by threatening to withhold the season tickets of the offending parties, as they clearly know who they are (and probably have video evidence).

This, although why threaten, just throw them out of the stadium and ban them from season ticket purchases. We should have zero tolerance for some of the in stadium behavior. This is weak sauce, seems to walking a line to not offend anyone even when some of the ticket holders are unmitigated ********.

They probably are not insignificant donors and they don't want to lose those donations. If they can solve the problem without pissing off the offenders enough that they walk away that is the route they are likely to take.

Probably true but I'd toss them anyway. It's a public school, we could at least pretend that the privileges for sale aren't without some limits. Kinda sad to me.

Plus these are small potato donors anyway.

We used that term at Hilton all the time. That is where I first heard it. If it bothers you so much you can shorten it to 'voms'.

I've never heard the term used at or about Hilton. I know it is a fine word, but I want to use it to mock Hok fans. The fact that they use it on their Kinnick seating chart is funny to me. It takes the fun out of it when we use the term for Hilton too.

Good for Jamie.

That behavior makes me thankful I sit with the peons in section 2 ;)

Amen Brother I was always glad when I sat in the top row of section F......I also had seats on the fifty yard line 12 rows up from the field in the high rent district back in the Earl Bruce Era.....The nosebleed peon seats were a lot more fun than sitting down with the big money alums.....I will say that most of those alums were Cyclones to the core and liked it when I brought my vintage cowbell for all the big games.....One old boy after a touchdown against Nebraska yelled...."Where in the hell is that kid with that damned cowbell, ring that sucker NOW"!!
