Because this is an ISU Board, not a KU board. KU Sucks so we don't want to hear a non-ISU fan about "how great KU is". They might win basketball games, but in the end, they SUCK because of fans like you.
How am I any different than any of you guys besides the team that I cheer for? I seek out conversations about the sport with fans of other programs. Talking to fans of the same school is boring. It gets old listening to everyone say the same thing over and over. The KU boards bore me.

ISU fans dislike KU fans because KU is their competition for what they want. Iowa is not. It may be fun to brag locally about a game against Iowa but in the scheme of things it makes no difference at all if ISU beats Iowa or not in a game. And I am well aware that my point of view ruffles feathers for the simple reason that it comes from a Kansas fan. I am fine with that. All of the dozens of posts I have put out here discussing my respect and admiration for Hoiberg and ISU go unnoticed and ignored. People get their hackles up at the first scent of any statement that might in any way, shape or form be any type of negative statement about their team. I get it. But stating that I think that Kansas' schedule has been harder than ISU's isn't an attack on ISU. It's just a statement about the topic. Good grief...

That's the only place on the planet where Iowa State's SOS is tougher than Kansas. Kansas has FIVE games against RPI Top 10 teams; Iowa State has TWO. Kansas has TWELVE games against RPI Top 30 teams; Iowa State has SEVEN. CBS Sports RPI games:Kansas: #3 Villanova#4 Florida#7 Iowa State#7 Iowa State#8 Duke#16 SDSU#22 Oklahoma#24 Texas#26 Colorado#27 New Mexico#28 Oklahoma State#29 ToledoIowa State:#1 Kansas#1 Kansas#15 Michigan#22 Oklahoma#22 Oklahoma#24 Texas#28 Oklahoma State

Using the words, "that's the only place on the planet" to add emphasis to the percieved slight of KU, to hijack a conversation and thread that was a relatively a ho-hum discussion of "boy our schedule has been tough". Who started, with their shackles up????

The best part is I don't even disagree with your point. I disagree with your tact, and your need to bring KU into every ISU conversation... 6315 posts in one month, I would bet every single one pushes KU into the forefront of the conversation. I get it, that's you...

Most of the Top 50 do but ALL of the Top 30 do.
Most of you bag on Iowa "good" win over Minnesota because Minnesota "sucks". They are RPI #45. Richmond is Top 50 but out as of now. BYU, Providence, Mizzou, Tennessee are all bubble teams. Most don't see those RPI Top 50 teams as "good wins".

Can we drop the banhammer on twocoach already? Adds nothing to this site and (as with this thread) is usually better at derailing things.

Let me dumb it down for you then, on kenpom.com the gap between the SOS rating of #1 (Kansas) and #2 (Boston College) is 0.0619. That is slightly larger than the gap between the #2 team and the #21 team. Does that help you understand that #1 to #2 isn't simply the same as #2 to #3, etc...? 2014 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings

Nice Try. All I hear from you is BLAH BLAH BLAH KU BLAH BLAH BLAH

Most of us don't go to KU boards and open a thread about KU (that didn't previously say anything about ISU) and start talking about ISU. Not hard to understand.

Was I wrong that the BPI is the only place where ISU has a better SoS than Kansas? Not that I have seen so far. So my "tactless" statement also happens to be accurate. Anyways, back to the topic at hand, Hoiberg has done a great job driving ISU to the ranks of the nationally elite, especially having played their toughest schedule to date under Hoiberg. I think the consistently tougher tests will have ISU well prepared for the variety of match ups they will face in the NCAA tourney. I fully expect to see ISU still alive in the tourney after the first weekend of play. I'd love to see as many Big 12 teams as possible make deep runs in the tourney.

I wouldn't have a problem reading comments from an ISU poster on a KU board. We don't have ownership of those boards; anyone can join and participate. I like to hear different opinions. Most people from the same fanbase view their teams through the same tinted goggles. It's nice to hear how it looks from the outside sometimes or hear about other teams performance on the topic at hand. No problem with that at all.

Let's try a different rating.

BPI has ISU ahead of KU. And since it is the one that uses the most factors, then clearly ISU is close to KU in SOS.

Here are some things for you to consider:
1. This is an ISU board.
2. We don't care about your KU opinions. See #1.
3. If they thread did not mention KU before, then there is no reason to add KU to the conversation. See #2.
4. No one on here is saying ISU's SOS is better than KU.
5. ISU has had one of the toughest schedules in the country. In fact, Top 5 in pretty much every rating.
6. The number 21 SOS still has one of the 6% toughest schedules in the country. You act like their SOS is horrible.
7. If you are saying that the gap between KU and #2 is the same as #2 and a team that has had one of the 6% toughest schedules, and using that a "proof" that KU's schedule has not been close to them, then I consider that a biased opinion. And see #2 about your opinion.
8. KU Sucks.

Not if I went on there saying KU Sucks and ISU is great. (That is my opinion by the way.) I would get blasted on there and deservedly so. So don't act like just because you are a KU fan that you are better than us.

Just because you make a factual statement doesn't mean you have tact. We don't care about your factual statements about KU. How hard is that to understand? (Sorry, you are a KU fan, so I might be expecting too much.)

He's the Kanye West of this site.

"Imma let you finish but..... KU has the best SOS of ALL TIME" Insert any KU propaganda in there. Make sure to be condescending and do not make any effort to relate this post to the OP.

I would love to see any post of mine where I have said anything even remotely close to "ISU sucks". And as for the "twocoach adds no value to these threads", this thread was doomed to roll off the page as a topic within hours. It was generating such lively response as "I believe it. " and "17-4 against the nation's toughest schedule to date? Not too shabby. " SInce I have chimed in, the people that have stuck to the topic have generated a LOT more substance and thought on the topic which has been fun and informative to read. The only people that aren't providing any value are the ones making silly personal attacks on me or are just whining about my existence here. This conversation got MUCH more interesting upon my arrival; like it or not...

I think someone is very high on himself. Not any different than most KU fans who think the result of a game for the team that they root for makes them better than other people.

You are forgetting, that most of us here don't CARE about your opinion, yet you continue to express it.

I would love to see any post of mine that suggested you said "ISU sucks". I didn't. But you are coming on here saying how much better KU is than ISU. And what you don't get is that we don't care about a KU fans opinion about KU vs. ISU. Why is it so hard for you to understand that? (Enter dumb KU fan joke here.)
