Call me weird but I used to do this when I worked out because I like to sweat a lot when I work out. I know some of you tough guys are going to come on and say "work harder, yadda yadda," but its just an old wrestler thing to where I dont feel like I'm doing much unless im pouring buckets of sweat out. I usually wore sweatshirts when I
lifted too, is that douchey?

I immediately thought of wrestlers, too. All through high school I would see all of our wrestlers working out in full warm up gear with stocking hats on. If that is what you are used to and comfortable with, go ahead. Unless he is dripping sweat on you, I'm not sure what it is hurting.

Yeah I mean those guys are huge ****** bags...I mean wearing a hat to cause you to sweat more while you're working out...oh man what a bunch of losers...No

Sounds more like you're the ****** bag who is on the stair steppers with all of the girls trying to carry out your new years resolution of losing the the weight you gained eating chocolate over Christmas break.

Get a life!

I wear a stocking hat when I lift, I have weird longer hair and it's annoying. I also like to bother the old people that go to the gym and ***** about what people wear. I also like when people acuse others of roids because they are so weak they cant beleive someone can lift that much. Take a multi and lift heavy. Good luck w/ your fitness goals in 2011.

Typical Gym Dbag...

Swishy pants. plain white T. Stocking hat. Lifting weights (mainly upper body). Doing a lift... slowly walking around the weight room for 5 minutes before doing his next lift. Glancing in the mirror more than often.

Meat heads are annoying.

Yes Yes, this guy is my favorite. He usually is accompanied by a 64 oz sippy cup of some pink or blue liquid. Also, he typically likes to glare into the wrap-around mirrors when completing each of his 10 sets of curls.

10 sets of curls in the squat rack to be exact.

haha this thread took a quick 180. I wear a hat in the winter because the gym I workout in is kept at about 55 degrees, or so it seems. I would assume most people wear a hat because they just rolled out of bed or havent showered yet and want to keep their greasy hair to themselves(myself included).

The ones you need to watch out for are the ones who shower and put in hair gel to go workout.

That's just disgusting - if I were to try that, that crap would get all in my eyes and mouth and would make for the most miserable workout experience ever...

The worst thing at the gym is probably the guys who douse themselves in axe before working out. Or your buddy who is supposed to be spotting you but forgets to when he sees a hot chick running by over on the track.

I don't think its weird when someone lifts in a sweatshirt or a stocking hat, but yesterday some guy was running around the track with a flat bill Boston hat on. I don't know any reason why he would want to wear that while running.

I wear a sweatshirt quite often until I get a decent sweat going. OK, I actually wear it to cover up how wimpy I look in a short sleeved shirt. I'm not a db, I'm insecure.

I usually wear sweatshirts too when I lift so of course I don't think it's douchey. I just like to stay warm between sets.

I try not to judge people at the gym because I am sure there are people who would say I do douschy things but the guy that breathes obnoxiously loud irritates me. The rest really don't. If you want to look in the mirror everyday and check for veins, that's great, just know my and my buddy will be quietly mocking you in the corner.

You think a guy is a ****** for checking himself out in the mirror, but then you see a guy checking his triceps or back calf in the mirror and you realize what a real ****** looks like.

This actually brings up an interesting question for me. I tend to sweat a lot when I run on the gym. It gets in my eyes and is really irritating. Anybody have a solution for keeping sweat out of my eyes that isn't going to luck completely ridiculous?
