Many of your "steal" stocks are in the process or very close to declaring bankruptcy...I wouldn't touch those with a 10' pole.

Well, Harrahs and Wynn Resorts are having all kinds of problems. Sin stocks do not do well in this economy. Looks like many construction projects have ground to a halt in Vegas. The 73 story Donald Trump building in Chicago needs a loan of $2B to finish. He is suing the banks. Poor Donald.

What I don't get is that a lot of these companies that stocks are tanking are still making money. Even though profits are down you're telling me the company is worth 80% less than 6 months ago? I think a lot of this electronic trading is to blame.

Wonder where these will head. They are both very pricey product stores.

Some of the current values are just mind boggling.

Alcoa - Dow component. Closed yesterday with a P/E ratio of 3.2 and a dividend payout of 9.9%.

Altria (domestic side of Phillip Morris) - P/E ratio 4.7, dividend 8.9%

Conoco Phillips - P/E 3.4, dividend 4.5%

I've given up trying to evaluate anything based on numbers, everything seems so crazy.

GE is much better than GM......Chinese are thinking about buying GM for one billion...chump change. Ford and GM will sell some of their corporate planes to pay for the trip this week.
