I see where Stinson has asked for his release from the European team that he was playing for and has returned home. Looking for somewhere to play in the U.S.

Blalock is listed on the Pistons roster, but has not played in a game. I also see he is not kisted on the Piston's Developmental team roster. Curious where he is and what is he doing.

Anthony Davis is playing on the Quad City Riverhawks ABA expansion team in Davenport. Roster includes Davis, Glen Worley and 10 other guys I never heard of. I know he has had several games in double figures. Team isn't much a draw, however. I think their peak attendance has been less than 400 and they had a game a couple of weeks ago with 79 fans.

Tough in the real world. Get your education before moving on. Will sitting on the nbench will not be good for him in the long run. The only team that needs some players are the Hawks, 76ers, and Knicks. At least Cato is getting a few minutes in New York. Any Fizer sightings? Anmdf Jamaal is having his best season. And Hoiberg is aiming for GM.

Wonder what Stinson is thinking? If i was him I would be thinking, man I wish I could be living for free in a dorm and getting my food paid for and playing basketball for a competative team!!! O well, I just wish we could have seen him play for Mcdermott!

I bet Stinson wished he was playing in Ames.

He would be playing the point and would have had the opportunity to show his talent and worth for one more year. Would it have improved his chances in getting drafted? We'll never know for sure, but we do know it couldn't have hurt.

Stinson and Taylor on the same team? Together they'd take 90% of the teams' shots!

:)

We need a floor general like Blalock back for sure....I think McIntosh has some good point guard potential but I'm sure that having him back this year would have added a great PG to the mix....not that we don't have enough guards in general....

Just one last thought.....
Am I the only one that thinks its sad that Taylor is the team leader in assists by double (4.8 compared to 2.5 from McIntosh)???

Sad is losing to all 3 Iowa teams in a row! Oh well. The team will be much better in a year or two once Coach Mac gets his players in there.

Liked watching Curtis and Will when they were here - but never had any sense that they were team/school players. I get that they left b/c their coach was let go and rumored other circumstances....but everyone knew that Will had a slim shot at making a team (he did, but is buried on bench) and Curtis had none.

I honestly don't feel a lot of pity. I care a lot more about Fizer and Tinsley - who both bought into the coach and the school. Fizer's passion at Iowa State and Tinsley in helping recruit Stinson (yeah, i get the irony).

Anthony Davis had to be one of the biggest wastes of a scholarship I've ever seen. Worthless.

And I agree, they'll all have wished they'd stayed in Ames until their eligibility was up when all is said and done. Happens every time...but there's no telling them that when they think they're world beaters as underclassmen.

They definately weren't playing for Iowa State, they were playing for themselves and I think that was apparent last year.

what is this "competative" team you speak of???? I don't like being the realistic cyclone fan, but after watching the last few games, we are going nowhere fast....

Ames, orginally from Remsen, IA
just another update and then wondering about another cyclone, I am from Remsen and knew Jared Homan a little and his sister quite a bit. He is actually in Korea now playing ball. He spent last year over in Greece and moved to Korea now playing ball for one of their teams. I was wondering if anyone knew where Jackson Vroman is? Last I checked he was on the Sun's but i think that was a while ago.

We are still 6-3 and have been blown out once... We are just where i thought we would be this year... minus the loss to Drake. We would be more competative too with Stinson...

Anthony was imported from San Diego by WM. It was his one recruit from the left coast. He did better in his last 5 games.
