We will find out if he can pull those guys in ames. I have my doubts.
Either way he needs to learn how to ******* coach.
why wouldn't he be though? he's the easiest to say 'frontrunner' about. Former assistant. Was frontrunner six years ago. Loves ISU. Friends with Jamie. Can recruit. The headline wrote itself. They didn't have to do any homework at all.
Knowing how Pollard conducts searches, CF has better information than the national guys.

Some likely feel Smith while out-recruiting only TCU is still likely to finish higher than TJ recruiting 6th or 7th.
Some just don’t want to admit they got burned by asking that question.

That MID MAJOR recruits well, better than Iowa St
How TJ recruits at Iowa St is the bar. That’s not likely to be as good as how he recruits at UNLV.
That would not be true, ISU never had the highest ranked class in the league. Baylor, Kansas, Texas usually out recruited ISU.

I don't disagree with you. But my initial response was to argue the fact that he would outrecruit more than just TCU in the conference. FWIW, I don't know who I want to be the next head coach.
