? Just putting it out there. Jantz played well against Baylor, Richardson against KU. Besides yards they are pretty even as far as stats go.
You have to actually watch the game, not just look at stats.

Ok OP. I get what you're saying. Both SJ and JB had games where we thought we'd found our savior, only to later discover the Kool-Aid was spiked with arsenic. I've been a half-empty ISU fan for very long time (and history shows justifiably so) but I think we might have finally turned a corner and I'm trying hard to be a glass half-full fan. And I think I'm not alone. If nothing else, enjoy a nice victory!

Sam was great. Really happy he stepped up and it is time for him to play clearly. If he can play, it is a total game changer for ISU football. But WV has film now, and KU is god awful. I am not sure their D was any better than Baylor's really. Both were bad.

I think Baylor and Kansas have similar problems with D (Kansas with a small edge) I went ahead a put the Baylor numbers against the Kansas numbers.

Passing C-A-I Yds TD Long Sack
Richardson, Sam B. 23-27-0 250 4 30 0
Rushing No. Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
Richardson, Sam B. 11 44 1 43 1 9 3.9

Passing C-A-I Yds TD Long Sack
Jantz, Steele 36-52-1 381 5 36 0
Rushing No. Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg
Jantz, Steele 10 58 4 54 0 17 5.4

The numbers seem to back up what we all saw. SR hits the receiver more often then the other two QBs. SJ and and SR can both get it done against a sub par defense but SR makes it look prettier.

As we have debated now for years, how do you account for drops? A QB's accuracy can have a lot to do with drops, but the drops against Baylor were on the WRs.

And time will tell if Richardson can go beyond SJ and get it done against a stronger defense. Which is the point the OP was trying to make, I believe, before everyone (myself included) castrated his post.

To be fair, OP castrated the post, everyone else just pointed it out.

Just the point spread in the scores, make me think Kansas has a tougher "D" than Baylor

KU lost to OSU 20-14
KU lost to Texas 21-17
KU lost to TTech 41-34 (OT)

ISU lost to OSU 31-10
ISU lost to Texas 33-7
ISU lost to TTech 24-13

SR looked better against KU (who has a wayyyy better D than Baylor) than Jantz looked against Baylor

Richardson looked better against KU than Jantz looked against Western Illinois! Not saying he's the second coming or anything, but he's clearly the best QB ISU has right now.
