Pretty cool (once you use the zoom feature). Would have loved to see them do a size comparison against the Star Wars Death Star.

Thanks for posting. The nerd in me could not resist viewing that. Someone spent a lot of time on that, and for that I salute you.

First thing that crossed my mind was how big the death star was going to be in comparison. It would probably take up the whole screen. I don't think it was listed though. Still neat to see.

So which is bigger, death star or the mothership from Independence Day?
The diameter of the first Death Star was supposedly 140-160 kilometers, or 150,000ish meters. This chart says the Independence Day mothership was only 24,000 meters. So, the Death Star by a wide margin.

Those were the city destroyers. I'm talking about that thing that got nuked.

For a death star size comparison, I always go back to the scene in Star Wars when one of the start destroyers crashed into the surface of the death star. It seems to be about the size of a small planet. Maybe not as large as Earth, but I think larger than our moon.

I have no freakin idea how the Rebel Alliance wasn't crushed on sight during the Death Star II battle. Seriously, the size of the Executor and Imperial I Star Destroyers vs the MonCal cruisers and Nebulon B frigates

The second Death Star from Return of the Jedi was substantially larger. 900 kilometers in diameter. I was wrong, as our moon is 3,473 km in diameter, so it would still be considerably smaller than the moon.

Link? ha kidding, I've actually heard the Death Star is approximated 160 km also which is huge but still nothing compared to the Earth's moon (3,474.8 km diameter)

Edit: Darn you GTO!

Well they did double their efforts when the Emperor himself came to visit.

would be cool to add a slim arc to the side like they do on posters of the solar system
