This.Still think Lawson wins it, and he should.
Lawson leads the league in points and rebounds and has been the best player. Period.

It's not an act. Self tecognizes good competitive basketball and fan bases and understands their impact on a game. He has been impressed with ISU players, coaches and fans and praises them because ISU players, coaches and fans have been impressive and worthy of praise.I think he cheats (but any more than any of the other blue bloods??) and obviously gets a ton of favorable calls, but I still contend that Self would be a fun guy to sit down a have a few beers with. He's a great college bball mind and he's been around long enough to have some great stories.
I know some people think it's an act and maybe they're right, but I've always felt he showed a good amount of respect toward ISU, our players, and Hilton.
Except that Baylor sucked last year and went to the NIT and Weber missed all tourneys in both '15 and '16.Scott Drew is easily the coach of the year. He has done a fantastic job. It's funny that the two coaches that always get thrown under the bus about coaching are Drew and Bruce Weber and every year they have very competitive teams that make the tourney.
Weber went E8 last year with a starting roster of 2 juniors and 2 sophomores and a freshman, so there is hope in MHK. You write like a "Cult of Frank" member.Except that Baylor sucked last year and went to the NIT and Weber missed all tourneys in both '15 and '16.
Wait until you see what Weber does next year when he doesn't have a starting roster of 3 seniors and 2 juniors...
Last year Brucie lucked out by getting a 16 in the 2nd round instead of a 1. Spare me the coaching acumen claims.Weber went E8 last year with a starting roster of 2 juniors and 2 sophomores and a freshman, so there is hope in MHK. You write like a "Cult of Frank" member.
