Anyone else catch the promo piece on ESPN today for the SEC title game where the narrator says "TCU would never make it to Georgia".

What a bunch of self righteous idiots. Utah blew out Alabama just a couple years ago in a BCS game. Apparently the people creating this feces are 5 year olds who started watching football just this year.

TCU may or may not have made it to the SEC title game this year, but anyone who thinks this South Carolina team is head and shoulders better than TCU is dangerously stupid. That includes ESPN and apparently the people responsible for promoting the SEC title game.

The SEC is a couple of steps above the NFL, if you listen to there announcers enough.

SEC west was fantastic this year, while the SEC east was not impressive. TCU would have steam rolled the east teams.

You know ESPN. The only baseball teams are New York and Boston, NBA revolves around LeBron and Kobe, and the only college football is in the SEC.

I'm sick of the "Boise/TCU doesn't deserve to be busting the BCS, because they wouldn't have this record if they were in the SEC," argument.

While we don't know how they would have fared in the SEC, (and teams shouldn't be punished for what is unknown and will never be known,) it's pretty safe to say Boise State and/or TCU would have steamrolled to an undefeated season in the automatic qualifying conference known as the Big East.

Is it really fair for an 8-4 UConn team to be playing in a BCS bowl game over an 11-1 Boise State team, or even an 12-1 Nevada team?

And if Boise or TCU steamrolled in the Big East, they'd still be #3, cause that conference is probably worse than the MWC.

FAIL. Boise couldn't even steamroll though the WAC. The ******* WAC!!!

All roads lead to Atlanta and SEC game. After all, the last four champs have been from guess who? Sop, who is pulling for UO now? Or will Gene become Top Dog?

By the way, the next Auburn qb looks serviceable but he is no Cam. Does Gene need to return top ressurect UT?

I guess it's partly right. If TCU was SEC West (which they would be geographically) they wouldn't have made it to Georgia. If you swap TCU for Ole Miss, there's not way they could handle having to play Auburn, Arkansas, LSU and Alabama.

On the other hand, if they were in the SEC East, they likely would have won that division going away.

Exactly. The WAC is beyond bad.

The thing that sucks is that as bad as the Big East, the non-AQ conferences are worse and that gap is widening quickly as the good non-AQ programs have left their conferences and joined BCS leagues or gone independent. The Mountain West is now basically the WAC and the WAC is like the new Sun Belt.

And if TCU was already in the Big East, they'd still be #3 because of strength of schedule.

FAIL back at you. They wouldn't have to go unbeaten. The Big East champ (mighty 8-4 UCONN) has two conferences losses. Also Nevada... of the WAC... is better than any Big East team this year.

See my other thread where the Big East champ is ranked 61 and ISU is ranked 60th.

If you seriously think Boise State and/or Nevada wouldn't have had a great shot at getting the Big East's BCS bid you're insane. TCU or 30-40 other teams would have had a CAKEWALK to that bid.

I wasn't arguing against them winning the Big East, I was saying they wouldn't steamroll to an undefeated season. FAIL back at YOU.

WV is 10-20 spots lower than Nevada in computer models. Boise would have dodged their toughest conference game by leaving the WAC to join the Big East. Not my opinion, the opinion of every single computer model that looks purely at results.
