My wife was looking for Christmas presents at Scheels and they told her the Waterloo and Des Moines stores would not have ISU Liberty Bowl apparel. I think they really meant they don't want Cyclone fans to shop at Scheels.

I haven't purchased something from Scheels in 2 years. The amount they markup and lack of appealing products they have, for my taste at least, I don't plan on shopping their for another 5 at least.

Maybe you should keep going in and asking just to remind them about missing your sales.

Hey, hey, hey....actually having them means nothing against being TOLD that they wouldn't carry them.

OP: Last sentence...derp. My closest Scheels is in the Coralville mall. They have a small ISU section. They sell what they think will make them the most money. If they thought they could make an arse-load of money selling nothing but ISU items, they would, that's the free market. If you choose to not shop there, cool, that's the free market. Trying to gin up communal some butt hurt is just plain communism.

I was at the Jordan Creek store Monday. They had multiple t-shirt and sweatshirt options to choose from for Liberty Bowl. I liked them better than bookstore options. T-shirts were $16.

The ISU section was so crowded when I was there, I cut through the Hok empty aisle just to get through to the other end.

I also was in Scheels yesterday and as said above they had Tshirts for $16. I think there were at least 3 different decals (or whatever you call them) on different colored shirts. Didn't see any sweatshirts though.

I'm waiting and hoping for cool ones down in Memphis.......;))

I have my kids find what they want at Scheels and then order online.

I always liked the Jordan Creek Scheels. They have a nice ISU section and typically carry a lot if kids stuff. The Waterloo and C.F. Scheels are horrible. I hope the extra space in the new one will mean that carry more ISU stuff. There are a lot of cyclones here and not many options to get ISU stuff locally.

As long as we are on the subject, Kohls in Ankeny has 3 to 1 Hawkeye stuff and no Liberty bowl items.

Most retailers mark up stuff 100% (unless you are Walmart).

Echoing the Liberty Bowl apparel at the Jordan Creek store. Not buying any. Its hideous. Got some good other ISU gear though.

I did this last year and was disappointed at how little merchandise was available near Yankee Stadium. Even the stadium store didn't have much. Bought my shirt from Innova on Main when I got back. Expect things to be different in Memphis because of the Liberty Bowl tradition and its place in the local culture.
