Me too. I was on the 50 yard line upper deck and it was almost completely empty.
I remember wondering if it would sell out. There were probably less than 30k there with people literally giving away tickets outside the gates.

The game may not be a sellout, but it will look like it is on TV. All the empty spaces in the stadium will be filled due to the fact we'll all be wearing 6 layers of clothes underneath our winter parkas.
Capacity drops to 45,000 when everyone is bundled up for freezing weather.

I was there. And I think that actually might be the most devastating ISU loss I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t watch any of the conference championships the following weekend.

Everything about that game is sadness. Then we had a sequel the following year in Lawerence.
Exactly right. I nearly cried.

Who was at 2004 Mizzou game?
I was. Such a gut punch. I was also in the group that couldn't watch conference champs games the next weekend due to the hurt.

That said... it helped ease the pain a little that colorado gor massacred in that game. We would have as well.

89-93 here and my guess is majority stay in their home town and watch with friends in a warm bar. Gonna say low 50s for paid attendance. Prove me wrong fans/students.
Coming from 7 hours away with nueropathy,a torn meniscus and a cane. LFG! Go Cyclones!
