Hate to do it - but I find negative publicity just as effective.
No - I don't buy into "any press is good press".
Edit: I hope these find their way to Royce when Matt comes begging for an inteview next season. He pulls this **** and wonders why people snub his show?
Sometimes the facts need to be said. Giggles has an agenda, and it has nothing to do with college teams in the state of Iowa.
Where are you to explain this one giggles? I'm so glad i dont bother with radio anymore. You continue to prove to be the states biggest *********, by what you say on the radio and the interwebs.. You are one pathetic person.
It has to be bittersweet running a rivals site and having to kiss the butt of the coach that should have been canned from Iowa State. He has to make himself feel better somehow about the fact that ISU is going to improve with a coach that hasn't coached a game before and he is stuck with a coach that couldn't make it at the next level.
I don't see how anyone can see this as a bad move. This is exactly the kind of chance ISU needs to be taking at this point. As long as he doesn't pull a Pierre Pierce, the worst that will happen is we'll have one less scholarship for a year that we weren't going to fill with any noteworthy talent anyway...
Upside: ISU has a future NBA player fall into our laps and far outperforms expectations next year
Downside: Royce doesn't play/gets in trouble and is kicked off the team...ISU is exactly where it was without him in the first place..
It seems to me that Royce was probably in a bad situation going to school at U of MN, because of all the potential influences there (he also went to HS in the twin cities). I highly doubt "those 100 followers" are all going to be moving down here with him.
Hopefully Ames will provide a positive change for him and he will turn things around. I'm excited to root for him.

This, Creighton just paid 800K for a man with 1 conference title in 20 years, ya its called JEALOUSY, the DB didnt like McDermott till the day he was Creightons head coach.
Matty is also nervous because Creighton's odds against ISU are getting more and more slim.
I seriously wonder if Matt even shares any of his own thoughts anymore or if he just says everything opposite of what Iowa State fans want to hear to pi$$ us all off. :no: I think he does this to keep himself relevant in local sports media.
