He picks ISU to win! He loves Nick Fanthorpe and Jon Reader. Go Cyclones! It could come down to bonus points and he doesn't like our ability to get bonus points in those matches. Let's hope he is right on this one. Never seen a guy with a single leg takedown that nasty.

I thought the segment was awsome. I was laughing so hard, I almost cried. Life is so much more fun when you can laugh and not take things too personal. I know he was making fun, but not the less, it was funny. Hopefully in the next few years, wrestling will make a comeback and become more mainstream, so Rome will actually be serious. Thanks to title 9, probably not, though.

Rome - as in Jim Rome? Did he make this pick on his radio show? If so, I'm glad he's tuned into college wrestling.
Of all the major sports shows, Rome does occasionally talk about college wrestling; Cael, etc. Most of the time he's busting on college wrestlers about wearing a unitard.

I think another reason he did it was to get calls and emails slamming wrestling. If that was his goal, he succeeded.
And for people to rip on people in Iowa having nothing to do...lol

That is funny, as I don't think Rome knows the first thing about wrestling. I bet anything he has no idea how one gets nearfall points and how long they must be held to get 2 or 3 points.
He picks the Clones over Iowa in everything. He knows the rivalry is heated and I think he has a huge dislike for Iowa ever since KF wouldn't be a guest on his show during their 2002 season when they played USC in the Orange Bowl. He laid the smack down on Iowa after that loss.
