some companies seem to be learning about the 3rd generation curse. There was a CBS Sunday segment recently on the "newest" Smucker in charge of Smuckers. He seemed very down to earth and seems like someone who it wasn't just handed to.

I like the straight best, but it is hard to find.Thank goodness. I was afraid I'd had my last shandy.
Do they make the Red anymore? I can't find anything but the Shandy where I liveI like the straight best, but it is hard to find.
Damn I haven't thought of a Walter's for a long time, I assume it is on the list of long gone brands?I drank Leinenkugel and Walters all the time in the old days with my brother in Eay Claire.
I have heard they do not make it anymore, along with another favorite of mine they made, the Northwoods Lager. I did find a 12 pack of the Red last year in the grocery store, but it was supposedly just a special run they did and I haven’t seen it since. A decent replacement is Point Amber Lager if you can find it.Do they make the Red anymore? I can't find anything but the Shandy where I live
Same.I’ve never even heard of Walters and I’ve been into trying weird beers for a couple decades
I think you are too young. Accept that as a compliment.I’ve never even heard of Walters and I’ve been into trying weird beers for a couple decades
I mean they have been with (Miller) Molson-Coors for almost 30 years. With the cost of raw materials and not wanting to spend millions on upgrading the canning/bottling line in CF this really shouldn't come as a surprise.
Craft beer is slowly dying because Gen Z doesn't it, yet they want to complain about generational companies failing. A ton of large breweries are streamlining business to stay afloat. You cannot blame M-C for this decision to help their bottom line. It's either this or they start dropping breweries left and right.
Also the Leinie Lodge and pilot brewery are staying open.
I’m 39, lol.I think you are too young. Accept that as a compliment.![]()

You're just a young pup by CF standards!I’m 39, lol.
When did this happen? I thought I had a Northwoods Lager at the MN State Fair just a couple of years ago...I have heard they do not make it anymore, along with another favorite of mine they made, the Northwoods Lager. A family made beer out of Eau Claire. I knew some Walters, having grown up in the Chippewa Falls area. The recipe got sold to another brewer and you could find it in 6 packs locally and at least one place had it on tap from what I remember. Not sure if they are still brewing it.I’ve never even heard of Walters and I’ve been into trying weird beers for a couple decades
They've been switching up their line up pretty aggressively recently. Definitely focusing more on their shandies and fruited beers. When did this happen? I thought I had a Northwoods Lager at the MN State Fair just a couple of years ago...
