Restrooms in Sun Devil Stadium

Hi Guys- Just got back from Tempe last night and I thought I would share this story about the trough style restrooms at the game.

There were some troughs that were in the middle of the restroom which had waist-high dividers, but you could look right across into the eyes of the guy opposite of you, so you have to look down to avoid weirdness. A couple of old guys across from me made the remark that "this is the first place that I have been in that I can look at other guys while I go" to which I just looked up and said "Howdy!" and left.

I just had to share, we had a trough thread here a little bit ago.

Also, what a great time- even better with a win!

I thought this was a little odd too. This was a pretty cool stadium but I think they should use some of their bowl money to do some modern renovations.

I remember several times when JTS had troughs, going in before the game, and seeing hammered college kids barfing into the trough, while there was someone taking a leak on either side. The funny part was that no one involved ever appeared to distressed be the situation/

Thank god JTS upgraded it's bathrooms. Although I can never remember them being THAT bad as in Sun Devil, but the rest of their stadium and atmosphere is very awesome. Next goal for JTS: AUDIO! Omfg!

Really? Minnesota's ID is the hardest ID to fake in the country. There's like 16 watermarks on it.

No offense, but to someone in Arizona, it probably does look like a fake because of the 16 wartermarks.

I've always thought it was interesting how stadium restrooms treat men like they're cattle, requiring everyone to pee in the same community trough.

And who was stupid enough to puke in the troughs?? I just went behind the building where the smokers were. LOL... Happened only once, that I remembered.

One time I was at an Illini game in Urbana and they had the troughs. The guy next to me looked down and smiled. I got out of there quickly and found a port-o-let.

My brother. And yes, "stupid" was the correct word to describe that decision. "Hilarious" works as well.

Best troughs are in the infield at the Indy 500. Those badboys seemed like they were 50 feet long. If you had the misfortune to be at the confluence of the competing urinary streams you could get some serious riptide and pee-tsunamis.

Troughs are great time savers, way more people can use them than individual urinals. At several stadiums I'm familiar with they took out their troughs during "renovations" and ended up with HUGE lines for the mens bathrooms because they replaced 30 foot troughs that 20 people could use at once with 10 individual urinals...

I would rather be in and out of the bathroom in a hurry and get back to the game. I would trade using a trough for a 5-10 minute line for the bathroom ANY DAY!
