Anything confirmed yet? No? Then I will save my freakout until there is actually something to freakout about...

I am approaching this like I did tailgating in the 80/90's. Start drinking early enough you can pass out and recover by kickoff. Leave and pass out again at halftime (getting bota's with hot chocolate and snaps into game was not an issue). Recover by end of the 2nd half to resume post game activities.

Of course now instead of drinking and passing out I just read endless threads, take a nap and then wake up.

Assuming this is true, what were people expecting with a budget hire?

I think it could work out... it could be a miss. I also think that was the challenge with letting Steve go this year. Not saying it was the wrong decision, but I think JP was hoping (like many of us) that Steve would give us a reason for optimism. Wait another year or two, get the finances back on track, reduce the buy out, and you are in a better position to make a change if things have not improved. Plus you give Steve one more shot to make it work. But the reality is that it wasn't going to turn around. So, now you give a guy like TJ a shot and see what happens... not sure you have the money right now to bring in anyone more likely to succeed. Anyone you can afford probably has risks... easy to pick out flaws in a candidate, but if a guy was a sure thing, he is probably not in our budget this time around... just my thoughts.

Let's give him a chance and hope for the best... Maybe he will be a perfect fit.

All y’all must have not listened to Pollard’s video. If it doesn’t come from him or the athletic department don’t treat it as fact. Treat it has entertainment and humor only.
I am defiantly doing what JP said, using the as entertainment to get through the slog of a workday.

If that's not Fred coming to Des Moines, then he's definitely on one of the two private flights that just left Lincoln to the Twin Cities within the last hour.

I learned my lesson to just put those two days in for PTO. Doing the same this year
Back in the day, when we played in the Dance, I was worthless on game day. Strangers would look at me in horror as I would be making fist pump gestures, and mumbling 'cmon Clones' while having no attention span in work meetings.
