I think our remaining (6) games are all winnable however...
The game in Ames against Oklahoma and the following weeks game at Texas may be the only two games I'm not to confident about. Oklahoma hosts Notre Dame on the 27th, and then us the week after. And Texas has Texas Tech on the 3rd before playing us. It'll be interesting to see how those teams respond to us after the next few weeks.

Oklahoma State
Stillwater, Okla.

Baylor (HC)
Ames, Iowa

Oklahoma
Ames, Iowa

Texas
Austin, Texas

Kansas
Lawrence, Kan.

West Virginia
Ames, Iowa

I think we beat everyone other than OU if we don't turn it over. Every other defense is horrible and we will put more than 30 on the board. Plus I don't see this team giving up more than 30 to anyone except maybe WV or OU.

I certainly think we have a better shot at winning half the remaining games after watching Baylor and WV play.

Right now I would say OU is a guaranteed loss, but I don't see what's scary about UT at all. Yes, they put up some points against WVU (who hasn't), but against any defense with a pulse they've not been impressive. And clearly their defense isn't nearly as good as last year.

I think we win the next 2, lose to OU, beat UT and KU, then lose a close one to WVU. It's hard to predict this far out for some games since there's always injuries to take into account. Also, that's assuming that our offense doesn't continue to suck eggs, which is also very possible.

KSU **** pounded OU. We've got no reason to fear them. Probably one our better chances to beat them.

Which ISU team shows up? The one that torches TCU or the one that loses to KSU and TTech? Other than Kansas, no one left on the schedule has a bad offense, and even Kansas can put a scare into you if you're not careful. Ask OK State. I think we will win 4 of the remaining games, but we're capable of winning out or losing out.

Best chance to beat OU since 2007 when Chizik lost to them because he didn't have a freaking fullback who could get tough yards in short yardage situations.

OU is the only one that really worries me, and mainly because of what they did to UT yesterday. None of them will be easy wins, but every game is 'winnable'.

Are there some good offenses in our league? Sure. But some of those 'good offenses' have proven to be paper tigers in the face of a good defense. And those teams also have a tendency to not have a whole lot of defense either.

If we cant run, these wins will be tougher to come by. If we cant line up and push the ball down their throat, we need to be sneakier, not sure that will happen either. If we cant run against KU, ummm, nevermind. Come on OL and Mess, get it figured out!

The next game is the one that worries me. We are not good enough to say any game, even ku, is a guaranteed win. But we are good enough to beat anyone on the schedule. One game at a time..

same team just that tech ksu were better teams (Barnett exception)... Tcu is good, isu is better. The Barnett team of the last two games goes 5-1... The jantz team of the first 4 games goes 2-4

Right now, I think we'll beat OSU, Baylor and KU if everyone continues to play at the same level. I'm reserving judgement on OU, UT and WVU for another week or two but I don't think a win over any of them is out of the question. I wouldn't say KSU "**** pounded" OU, but the scores/games between KSU and OU/ISU were similar - slowed down tempo, and a couple critical turnovers and penalties that really impacted the flow of the game. KSU/OU ended up 24-19, and KSU/ISU ended up 27-21. KSU was the visitor both times. I think we have a REAL opportunity to take OU down this year, but their dismantling of Texas yesterday and the history of the series has me a little hesitent to outright predict the win.

I think the OSU game is the key game the rest of the year. If we play well and win then JB will regain some lost confidence after the last 4 minutes of the KSU game. I can see us beating Baylor the following week, putting up a close (within 2 scores) game against OU, having a toss-up against Texas (really depends on if Texas plays up to potential), beating Kansas, and having a real close one with WVU. That all is if we beat OSU next weekend.

If we lose at OSU then I think the only game we win is Kansas and it will be closer than we would like it to be. The defense will always be solid if we stay healthy so I think the rest of the season hinges on the confidence that Barnett has in his arm after his performance next weekend. Here's hoping we can give a variety of looks offensively and run the ball in various ways to make passing as easy as possible for him next weekend!
