You seem to not understand what I'm stating, one last attempt without anything else then I'll leave you to your own toils.

If WVU does this to ISU at Hilton, do you want an apology from the player? If not, then I guess we have different stances on societal views and public conduct. I know I'm glad as a supporter and donor to the athletic department that Booker issues the apology.

I would not want an apology if the situation was reversed because the students yelling about his mother deserve it because this is sports, not a court case. That doesn't mean that what he did was right, but it wasn't so bad that an apology to the fans was warranted.

Once again, I appreciate that he apologized. I just think there is no need to apologize to the fans that were yelling at him.

Cameras caught it. We had to rewind to see it again. Camera was right on Booker when he was taken out of the game. Looked like he was fingering the camera actually.

I've never heard anyone use this phrase^ to describe flipping someone off until this whole debacle and it makes me laugh every. single. time.

Realistically this is why he is apologizing. He's not apologizing to any WVU fans, he's apologizing for being disrespectful on (national) tv wearing a cyclone uniform.

I had no problem with what Booker did and thought it was good he apologized. I really wouldn't have cared regardless though if he did or didn't apologize. I don't think Elijah Johnson ever apologized to us, just Hoiberg and I am fine with that. Doesn't really matter.

Though I hate that people got after book about his momma. Id do it to any opponent coming into hilton. I yelled at texas tech player Gotcher, #20 about his mom. Said something about his mom during a in bound pass that he then screwed up bad and led to an ejim fast break dunk. Gotta live with the heckling.

ISU is becoming the official "apologizer" of the big 12.

Hahaha. I am still waiting for Coach Bill Self's apology too. I want him to apologize for that unsporsmanlike technical foul he got 22 seconds into our game. Sure, it was just like manslaughter....not pre-meditated at all.

I would like an apology from What's his face Johnson.....he apologized to "the Iowa State Coach", but he still needs to apologize to all the Iowa State fans who paid good money to see a classy game. I would accept an apology from the Kansas University student government in his proxy.

I want an apology from the Big 12 referees. This one should be done at a press conference during the Big12 tournament.

Sorry. Sorry.

Good News! Iowa State is a #1 seed in the National Apology Tournament......if seeding holds we will be in the Final Four with Lance Armstrong, Alec Baldwin, and the U.S. State Department.
So Sorry! So Sorry!

After verbally abusing J'Covan for an entire game last year he flicked me off. I don't expect an apology from him.

This whole thing is stupid. I was told by many Iowa State fans on here that I should forget about the Kansas players total lack of class, so I will therefore not be bothered by Booker's here.

Booker's dumb mistake was the foul right before that, which could have cost us the game. Kind of shows why he hasn't played much. That being said, I hope that they overlook that, because he has been playing well.

Reminds me of Marcus Jefferson in like 2003. Don't remember what game it was, but the opposing fans were heckling him about his mother who had just passed away. I just remember him finally breaking down and screaming "my moms f'n dead" at the kids.

Was that Mizzou? I heard that they did something like that to one of our players

I think Grayer went into the stands after the "antlers" at Mizzou one time. They somehow actually got banned...they all graduated and got jobs working opposition research for Rahm Emmanuel.

This PC crap has gotten out of control. If an opposing player flips off a hostile crowd, why should anyone be shocked? It just intensifies the rivalry, which WVU could probably use just as much as ISU.

Here's where I am: I am very lenient on what I consider ok for heckling. I don't really care. Stay away from deaths and probably family issues that don't involve the family member being an idiot. Now, if you want to heckle and someone punches you in the face, I don't feel sorry for you either. The player shouldn't do that, obviously, however it could happen and you have it coming. The above story with the "sit down fatty" is great. I have no problem with the coach saying that after being heckled.

greatest heckling game I've been to in Hilton, the no means no game. That game single handily started the warning about being ejected for heckling.
